PARISH LOTTERY CALENDARS ~ DRAWINGS BEGAN ON FRIDAY, APRIL 1ST A few Parish Lottery Calendars are still available in the back of the Church. Calendars are $ 20.00 each and run thru December 31st. There are single calendars available. There are approximately 20 Calendars left in each Church for a total of 40 Calendars remaining unsold. You are asked to sign the calendars out on the sign out sheet provided. To date 692 calendar returns have been made, leaving 308 unaccounted for. Please remember it is time to make your returns with stubs included! Please help to make this very important fund raiser a success again this year!

ALTAR & ROSARY MEETING

St. Brigid Altar & Rosary Society will meet on Wednesday, April 6th at 6:30PM in the Rectory. New members are always welcome. All members are encouraged to attend.

SPRING STYLE PARTY

Come join the fun at our Spring Style Party. Fashions provided by the Dress Barn. The Style Party will be held on Sunday, April 24th, from 12 Noon to 4:00PM at Neumann Hall in Choconut. Light refreshments will be served. Donation is $ 10.00 per person. You can get your tickets after any Mass or from any member of the Altar & Rosary Society.

SS. PETER & PAUL TOWANDA CELEBRATES 175TH ANNIVERSARY

As Ss. Peter & Paul celebrate their 175th Anniversary Year 2016-17, numerous interesting, inspiring and fun activities are being planned! You are invited to the first event: a Family-Friendly Concert featuring the Christian band “FULL AR-MOR”, to be held in the J.F.K. Hall in St. Agnes School, 102 Third Street, Towanda—on Saturday, May 14th, at 7:00PM. Admission is a non-perishable food item for the T.A.C.O. Food Pantry—but seating will be limited, so tickets may be re-served by calling 570-561-5687. Posters are available in the back of the Churches.

FOSTER GRANDPARENTS NEEDED

Foster Grandparents are needed in Bradford, Sullivan, Susquehanna, and Tioga Counties. The Foster Grandparent program helps both low-income seniors and special needs children. The program provides seniors with a modest tax free stipend of $ 2.65 per hour for working with children that may have academic, physical, or home challenges. Foster Grandparents are in school grandmas and grandpas, who help children, succeed. They will be assigned to a school or Head Start near their home and will mentor children under the direction of a teacher. The Foster Grandparent program is really a win, win, win, for the senior, the child, and for the teacher, because the program often times provides those involved with a rewarding experience. BIBLE STUDY Bible Study is held Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:00AM at Neumann Hall. New members are welcome.

SHEETS/BLANKETS/NECK TIES NEEDED

Old/used sheets & blankets are needed to make sleeping bags for the homeless. If you are cleaning out your closet, please consider donating them for this worthy cause. Donations can be left in the back of the Churches or dropped off at the Rectory, (if no one is there, please leave donations on the porch by the driveway). All donations are most welcome. Also needed are old, used neckties (not clip-on).

ANNUAL SAMARITAN HOUSE SPRING SALE

The Annual Samaritan House Spring Sale will be held on Saturday, April 2nd, from 9AM to 4PM and Sunday, April 3rd, from 9AM to 2PM, at St. Thomas Aquinas School Gym, Highland Avenue, Binghamton. A variety of antiques, jewelry, dishes, glassware, furniture, collectibles, books, paintings and housewares will be fore sale. All proceeds benefit Samaritan House of Binghamton.

RUMMAGE & BAKE SALE

The Little Meadows United Methodist Church will hold a Rummage & Bake Sale on Saturday, April 9th, from 9:00AM to 2:00PM. Lunch will be available. Bag sale begins at 1:00PM. All are welcome to attend.

The Legion of Mary, Binghamton Curia, will have their annual Curia Acies ceremony on Sunday, April 10th, at 2:00PM at St. Cyril’s Church, 148 Clinton St., Binghamton. An invitation is extended to all auxiliaries and former active members to attend and renew their consecration to Mary.

MOM’S HOUSE FLOWER SALE

Order forms are available in the back of the Churches for the Mom’s House Flower Sale. You can order your flowers in time for Mother’s Day! The order deadline is April 22nd. Flowers must be picked up at Mom’s House, 770 Harry L. Drive, Johnson City, on Wednesday, May 4th from Noon to 6:00PM or Thursday, May 5th from 9:00AM to 4:00PM.
