We will also be creating a collage of student pictures to present to staff. The link to the collage and directions will be emailed to parents VERY SOON! Please check your email for this important information.
One Book, One School: Erickson will be hosting a One Book, One School event from Monday, May 11th - Friday, May 22nd ---Change in Dates---. We invite your family to read the book My Father’s Dragon with other Erickson Families and participate in fun activities and more. Each day, we will ask families to read chapters from the book together. Parents can access the book from their child’s EPIC Book account or YouTube. There will also be a FlipGrid that families can access to listen to the story. This 2 week event is completely voluntary and meant for families to
share the love of reading & come together as ONE COMMUNITY! If you have any questions, please email Mr. Haugens at [email protected].
Kindergarten Visitation: A Virtual Kindergarten Visitation will take place on Friday, May 1, 2020, at 10:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 4:00pm. More information will be coming soon to our newest Erickson Eaglets!
Supply Pick-Up: The district is working on a plan for personal item pick-up for students and families. As soon as this plan is finalized details will be shared through email and the weekly Erickson Express. Until then stay healthy and well.
Families In Need: Thanks to our wonderful Erickson Community, we have funds to help support Erickson families in need. Please Click here if you or your family is in need of monetary support. Your information will be kept confidential.
Remote Learning: The Bloomingdale School District will continue Remote Learning for the remainder of the school year. Teachers started taking attendance this week. Attendance is based on “Student Engagement”. We ask that students complete the recommended activities provided by classroom teachers.

HOT LUNCH: The PTO has started refunding through PayPal. The refund email will go to the email at record at time of hot lunch purchase. If for some reason you encounter difficulty, please email the PTO. Again, a BIG THANK YOU to those who donated their remaining funds to either the Bloomingdale & Roselle Food Pantry or an Erickson family in need. Your generosity allowed us to donate over $9,800!!
NATIONAL TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK:
~Teachers make all other professions possible.~The PTO wants to thank all our teachers and paraprofessionals for everything they do to support the PTO and our students. We regret not being able to share this week with you in our traditional way. Parents please check your email regarding the events next week. Each teacher will have their own flip grid which your student can send a message on the daily theme.
WE NEED YOU!! **The following programs are at risk for discontinuation next year without volunteers committee chairpersons** Our current position openings for the 2020/21 school year are: (1) Back to School Bash (2-3 positions), (2) Hot Lunch-1 position with 2 current chairs, (3) Thanksgiving Feast-1 position with 2 current chairs, (4) Fun Run-1 position with current chair, (5) Cookie Decorating Night (1 position), (6) Spring Family Fun Night (1 position), and (7) Field Day-1 position with current chair. (8) Box Top Coordinator. Details on each of these positions are attached.

2020-2021Starting February 10, 2020, parents wishing to enroll their new student into District 13
for the 2020-2021 school year can enroll online by clicking on the link below: SD13 Enrollment Form
Children who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2020, are eligible for kindergarten during the 2020-2021 school year.
If you need assistance with online enrollment please contact the school your student(s) will attend.

Parents will need to submit (upload) a copy of the student birth certificate.Once normal school operations resume, parents will need to bring into school
an original birth certificate for their child.
In addition, parents will need to upload multiple documents to prove residency. Check out the “What’s Needed to Enroll My Student?”
document located on the SD13 enrollment website.
