Asmodeus
On February 18, 1865 two months almost to the day before his untimely death, President Abraham
Lincoln received a strange letter warning him of his imminent assassination and, in a post-script, sharing
a lewd and completely inappropriate joke about farmers daughters in Kentucky. The letter was signed
Asmodeus, King of Hell, and Commander of the Infernal Legions.
He is the King of Demons, the demon of wrath, the demon of anger, the destroyer of worlds, Ashmedai,
Asmode, Sidonay, Asmodevs, the demonic offspring of a succubus and King David, Commander of the
72 Legions of Hell. He is the King of Hell, answering only to Lucifer himself. If he appears to you he will
come three times. First he will appear as a handsome man walking with limp. In his second guise he
comes with the head of a bull. When he appears the third and final time he will have the head of a
furious ram breathing fire. He carries with him at all times a lance and the banner of hell.
The letter was deemed a perverse joke and, along with numerous other discarded scraps of paper, was
burned in one of the White House fireplaces. The room immediately filled with a rancid, oily smoke.
Contemporary reports say that it smelled of rotted fish and camphor. The entire building had to be
evacuated and three servants were overcome by the smoke. They died within the next several hours.
Fish oil can be extracted from the livers of fish by rapidly heating them to over 400 degrees. Or, in a
slower, but more complete method, by preserving the livers until they have fermented and allowing the
oils to separate naturally. When the oil is poured over a hot brazier, it will produce the same thick cloud
of foul smelling smoke that filled the White House that February afternoon. This is the only way to ward
off the demon Asmodeus.
Apocryphal Tobit burned fish livers and hearts to drive away Asmodeus, the worst of demons. He fled to
Egypt where, for a time, he was bound by the angel, Raphael. This is how Tobit survived in the face of
Asmodeus assaults. President Lincoln, however, was not so fortunate.

Azazel
The air of the desert is hot and dry, full of grit and sand. It gets into your nose, your teeth, your eyes.
Even now, as the sun is melting into the horizon, the desert winds bring dry heat into the camp. Other
than the scarlet glow that illuminates the smoke drifting up from Mount Sinai, the desert is dark. It is
dark, but it is not silent.
Out in the darkness there are wild beasts. Owls, ravens and vultures, hyenas, wildcats, snakes and
jackals make the desert a dangerous place to wander. But there is something more. Even with the
animals that roam its sands, the desert is a dead place. That is why no one will pitch their tents there.
The desert is a dead place the haunt of demons
It is the home of Azazel, who watches over the fallen watchers. Azazel, who corrupted the earth and
taught men to make swords and knifes, who showed women how to ornament their bodies with jewelry
and mascara. Azazel, who was bound in chains by Raphael and dragged down from heaven. There in
the dark of the desert he is chained to the rough and jagged rocks of a precipitous cliff, howling in
desperate pain.
This is disgrace; this is Azazel,
and this is shame,
for Abrahams portion is in heaven
and yours is upon the earth.
Therefore, the Mighty One,
Eternal Ruler of Time and Space,
has given you your dwelling upon the earth
though you are a liar
and a bringer of wrath.

Behemoth
Behold now, the Behemoth I have made.
Behold now, the Behemoth and the strength of his loins
his penis stiffens like a cedar, the sinews around his stones are knit together,
his limbs are like copper, his bones are like iron.
The primordial beast of the land,
brother to Leviathan of the sea and Ziz of the air,
he is first among the wild beasts and of the creatures that move along the ground.
The river may rage and the waters wild
but Behemoth sleeps in the shade of the Lotus tree;
he is not disturbed by your cries,
by your shouts of distress.
Behold now, the Behemoth I have made,
biggest born of the earth in its upheavals
born of the ground in all its shaking,
first of the Masters making
but against him only the Maker may draw his sword.
You, who sit in dust and ash,
upon a tower of dung,
are you a man? Prepare yourself;
look upon the Behemoth and tremble.

Beelzebub
Let us consult the Presiding Chaplain
of the Royal Order of Diptera,
that chthonic spirit,
that porcine head impaled upon a stick;though he sits in ruined majesty
he can still draw an audience
for a time.
Let us ask of him: will I live or die?
O Lord of Flies, speak to me.
I open my mouth
and breathe through my nose
to receive this breeding of pestilence.
Let him speak though he spreads lies.
Let him speak in whispers and fizzles.
Let him speak, this buildup of filth,
buzzing as I die.

Chemosh
On a hill east of Jerusalem
the morning sun rising like a flare
over King Solomons other shrine,
the high place of Chemosh the obscene.
A drinker of blood
A devourer of sons
Built for the convenience
of his many porcupines
though, this may merely be
a Deuteronomistic slander
against the despised despot.

Cockatrice
Cockatrice cannot change,
and cockatrice doesnt care,
doesnt care who lives and who dies.
Cockatrice once or cockatrice twice, before the night is out you will deny him thrice,
before the caterwauling terrorist of dawn
screams off his bloody head.
Cockatrice will drink that poisonous cup of wrath
and will spit in your eye just to spite you.
From toad-nursed egg and from spiders web
Cockatrice will rise
and he will not be charmed.
He is the winged serpent in the garden,
striking your heel, blinding your eyes,
and turning you and your heart into stone.
Cockatrice cannot change,
has no sympathy and doesnt care.

Dagon pale like fish bellied grain
waist upward manshaped and bearded,
downward all gills and scales and fins,
shimmering oily moon in gloomy seasand thunder on the levee.

Dybbuk
Lingering, clinging, he will not release,
this dead soul not yet departed.
He will not leave;
something holds him, binds himtraps him here,
incarcerated in this unwilling flesh,
involuntary host of unfulfilled desires
and unrequited love.
Voices raised, muscles wrenched,
dislocated in space and time
cleaved from the outside
caved in from within.

Eagle
These are revelations untraveled,
reparations unrivaled,
tessellations unraveled,
Woe, for the Eagle has spoken
terror in midair,
and a second time woe.
And now the third Eagle has spoken
conspiracies from the co-prophet
who finds numerological connections
between Korean pop-stars
and the spotted pelt of the Obama leopard.
The rosary of Mary will protect us
from the coming of the Antichrist;
the rosary of Mary will protect us
from phallic airport murals.
666 is always followed by 555;
doom and gloom proceeds from a Casio keyboard.

Emim
The earliest inhabitants of the country were the Emim, a great race of warriors, so tall in stature that
they might have come of Enacs family; and indeed men held them to be giants of Enacs breed, but the
Moabite name for them is Emim. Deuteronomy 2: 10-11
We craned our necks far back, our chins into the air
to see them there, the Emim, giants,
warriors tall in stature,
great in size.
Dark wine dripped down from their faces
as they drank from barrel sized bowls;
we stood beneath that wretched flood
huddled, drenched below.
These dreaded ones,
these buzzing zamzummim,
who dwell in iron age castles
and disappear in a cloud of disowning,
they, they are the ones responsible
for sixteen thousand pigs
floating dead upon the river;
they, they are the ones to blame
for fear of fire and of sun.
Go back. Go back
to whence you came;go back beneath the shadows,
to the netherworld.
The Emim are not wanted here.

This is disease, the First Born of Death,
necrotizing fasciitis, ebola
eating his skin, devouring his flesh,
anthropophagous, consuming limbs
and wasting strength.

Frogs
Then, in my vision, three unclean spirits appeared in the form of frogs; one from the mouth of the
dragon, one from the mouth of the beast, and one from the mouth of his false prophet. Revelation 16:13
The first, dripping from the mouth of the dragon, was red, bright and sweet, like berries on my tongue
but obnoxious in the light and noxious to the touch.
Brekekekex koax koax
The second, blue and cold like February rain, like ennui
came falling from the unexpected sky
raining poison skinned spirit frogs.
Brekekekex koax koax
And when the prophet speaks (lies, all lies)
in golden sonorous tones like morning bells
we hardly notice the amphibian in his mouth.

The God of Fortresses
Of the King who did according to his will and magnified himself above every petty god and honored the
God of Fortresses with much gold and silver, and who regardeth not the gaze and desire of women
A mighty fortress on pagan sandsphysical forces holding spiritual and temporal sway
wielding the sword of power
flashing this way and that.
He shall do just as he will.
He will speak barbarisms and blasphemies.
He will wear the skulls of his enemies.
He will reawaken occulted mysteries long forgotten by his fathers.
His militant priests and clerical guardsmen
will march across the globe
on ley line energies,
and they shall wear upon their breasts
the emblem of their master.
And this is his device:
a stone tower on bend sinister.

Gogmagog!
Gogmagog! is at work in the middle-east. President George W. Bush
How many stories could be told about Gogmagog!, that fearsome giant of forgotten days, how many
tales of wonder and of woe? How many fortified cities has he leveled? How many castles has he pulleddown? How many nations has he plundered? How many nations has he pillaged? He towers over all the
ancient terrors, standing over them as a tree stands over a man. He pulls up oak trees as you or I might
pull up daisies. He is Gogmagog!
Gogmagog!, who was struck by lightning on five different occasions. Gogmagog!, who was sealed within
a cave for 30 days. Gogmagog!, who fought the Wyrm beneath Albion. Gogmagog!, who wrestled Hell-
Hounds at Crooked Creek. Gogmagog!
And now he is on the move. Gogmagog! is on the march. Awakened from his slumber he now lumbers
eastward, towards the plains of Shinar, where he will battle once more. The ground shakes beneath his
feet. His stride is unyielding, his pace unrelenting. He will not rest. He will not sleep now that he has
been roused to anger. He will have battle once more. He will take on all foes, oppose all armies. He will
tear down walls and towers. He will smash tanks and chariots. He will sweep aircraft from the sky and
sink battleships in the sea. None can stop him, he is Gogmagog!.

Helel ben Shahar
How you have fallen, fallen to the
Earth, to the dust,
laid out and sprawling across the nations;
everyone sees your disgrace andlaughs at your shame.
But you said, I will ascend,
even to that highest throne,
Now you are low.
Scion of Dawn, Day Star,
Heavens brightest son,
accursed and darkened now,
helpless on your back
and fed upon by maggots and worms.
Remember this, you who would presume to glory.

Hermas
Hermas, the dreamer, the visionary freedman, has seen him the shepherd again. Hallucinations. No.
Not hallucinations, but dreams. This is his sixth vision.
But he couldnt be sure what was happening.
In the first vision there was desire. In the second, a book. In the third he saw a great tower trembling in
the shadow of a giant. In the fourth, he saw the world collapse and the sky grow dark. But in the fifth
he saw him the shepherd, the revelator. That seemed to be the end of the visions. But now he was
seeing things again.
First it was thousands of dead pigs floating in the rivers of China. Now its tens of thousands of prawns
washing up on the beaches of Chile. Theyve overheated, he said to no one in particular, but he had
no idea what it meant.
I, myself, have seen the giant camels of the arctic, he thought, majestic creatures, really. Larger than
the ordinary camels we see today, taller, broader. But they were in no danger of overheating. Not
them. They were perfectly adapted to their cold environment.
There was something inside him: an idea that needed to be explored, an hypothesis that needed to be
tested. The burning on his hands and feet was the result of an intense electrical discharge. Could these
things all be related?
He could not answer that question and he began to weep.

Ibis
Who gives the ibis wisdom?
or gives the rooster understanding?Job 38:36
In the spring, when the moon is changing, the winged serpents of Arabia rise in flight,
a knot of venomous snakes and spines,
but the Ibis,
sacred bird of the Egyptian moon,
refuses to let them pass
and for this he is venerated there.
In the summer, when the moon is fat,
the Ibis stalks the marshlands
measuring the earth
in one cubit strides,
as a scientist, a lonely mathematician,
a practitioner of lunar magic.
In the winter, when the moon is obscured
by clouds swollen with rain,
he is the physician,
the face that hears.
The sound of his song
creates the four frog ponds.

Irin
In the vision that came into my mind as I was lying in bed, I saw a holy watcher come down from
heaven. Daniel 4: 13
The eyes of the Irinare the eyes of God
and the eyes of God
are loose upon the earth.
A thousand glimmering eyes
Ten thousand eyes in the night
The eyes of the Irin are watching.
Observe
The eyes ofAdonaiare ranging about the earth;
each of them is named and their names are known
but you must never say their names
especially at night when their powers are reinforced,
even in the course of study you must not speak their names.
Observe
What has been written will come to pass
and what will come to pass will be observed
coming down from heaven in tracks of fire
When a five legged lamb is born on the White House lawnit will be observed.
When Grigori moves between this world and the next
he will be observed.
When transgenic species rise upon the earth
they will be observed.
Observe
Be vigilant. Never surrender
you must give yourself to the cause
and to the victory of history.

Jackals
I have become a brother of jackals, a companion of owls. Job 30: 29
He yelped up the moon using the ancient calls known only by his tribe. This was his privilege and his
duty though why the regular calling up of the moon should have been entrusted by the First Father tosuch a tribe of tricksters and malcontents as the Jackals was never understood by the other tribes. Why
had the duty not been entrusted to ones such as the Owls? Or to the Elephants, who were both solemn
and sage? Or even to the Lions who were kings and princes over most everything else in the First
Fathers creation?
But the First Father, in his wisdom, had given that sacred duty to the Jackals. And he gave to them, and
them alone, the magic calls necessary to bring up the moon. And, for the most part, they had not failed
the First Father; they had kept the sacred trust.
His name was Tann, though sometimes he was called Ochim because he was one of the doleful
creatures. But few would dare use that name in his presence.
When hed howled the moon up over the horizon and sent her safely on her journey across the sky,
Tann set out himself, to prowl and to hunt. His strong legs carried him quickly over the sand and rocks.
The calloused pads of his feet kept his motion silent, stealthy. He could read the scents in the cool
nighttime breeze. One of the Ibex had come past hours before. A few Hares were nearby but not worth
the effort to chase. Not when there was yes he sniffed again blood. Something wounded.
Something already dying. Tann barked once in excitement before letting it trail off into a muted whine.
He did not want to draw others to his kill. He ran now, following the odor of blood.
For the most part Tann and his fellow tribe members had kept their sacred trust and had called up the
moon for her nightly course across the sky with the necessary regularity and precision. But the Jackals
are tricksters and devious too, so there had been a number of occasions when theyd used theincantations and songs given to them by the First Father in order to manipulate the moon as she
travelled. On a few occasions they had sent her off course, giving her a song filled with bad directions.
The Jackals would do this in order prolong the night and to give themselves more time at the hunt. But
they knew that the other tribes would complain to the First Father if they were caught misusing the
secret moon songs, so they did this infrequently and only when they were convinced they would not be
noticed.
But as Tann cut his way across the rocky plain he wasnt thinking about the moon or her nightly trek
across the sky. It would be hours before he would think of her again. As he ran he had only one
thought: meat. He would soon be eating meat, meat and blood. The carrion was close. And fresh.
It was an Antelope, a young one that had fallen off a rocky ledge and snapped its neck. Tann snapped
his jaws the few of the Vulture tribe that were already encroaching on his dinner. They squawked
angrily at him, but flapped away, fearful of his teeth. He pushed his snout into the carcass and began
tearing out hunks of flesh.
Later, after hed eaten his fill, Tann loped back towards his cave, satisfied and filled. He would sing
another song for the moon to guide her towards morning.

Jeremiel
Did not the souls of the righteous in their chambers ask about these matters, saying, `How long are we to
remain here? And when will come the harvest of our reward? And Jeremiel the archangel answered
them
Q: How long are we to remain here?
A: There is nowhere for you to remain. The Earth is gone from you and we are already on our way.
From earth to heavens, from the dust of the earth to the crystal sea before the throne, we proceed.
Q: But where are we going?
A: To your reward, to the place that has been prepared for you since the timelessness before time, the
eternal city, the endless vista of hope; we go to the presence of the One.
Q: Will the trip take long?
A: Time is irrelevant. There is only the now, for the One is with us even now. Yet you will see him soon.
Q: But how long will it take?
A: I have already answered that question. For now, enjoy the visions that are being shown to you. The
waters of the heavens have been parted especially for your passage; dark waters are on the left and
bright waters on the right. Do you not see them? Are they not glorious?
Q: I need to use the bathroom. Can we stop?
A: The dead have no need of such facilities. We will continue through the heavenly ether. The hosts of
heaven have assembled to light your way. See how they shine for you?
Q: Aaron is on my side of the seat
A: There is room enough for all and no need to squabble.
Q: Hes touching me
Q: No, Im not.
Q: Yes, he is. He is.
Q: No, Im not. Hes touching me
A: Stop it, both of you.
Q: I need to go to the bathroom. How soon till we can stop?A: You should have gone before we left.
Q: How much further?
A:
Q: Are we there yet?
A: (sigh)

Kokabiel
The stars, I think, have moved into their proper positions, but it is so hard to tell anymore. Once I could
read the skies unclouded. I could follow the movements of the stars with ease, plot their courses
through the houses of the zodiac and anticipate their alignments with wandering planets. I could read
the signs. Once I could interpret and I could understand.
I remember watching the Magician as he made his way through the Water Carrier with his blue methane
clouds meandering past Sadal MelekandAl Bali- the Lucky Star of the King and The Swallower. I
described these rare celestial maneuvers to my brothers and they watched with me until the Ancient
One, Saturn, chased the Magician out of Aquarius. I taught the host of heaven what these motions
meant, taught them to read the signs as I did.
I was a scholar then, and not a charlatan. Astrological wisdom requires a knowledge of languages for
the study of ancient texts as well as considerable mathematical skill. I could, without the aid of
telescope or other delicate instruments, observe the motion of the stars and calculate the vectors of
the planets. But Im regarded as a joke now, and my art, my science, is trivialized in commercial
publications for the uneducated looking for their horoscopes and their fortunes.
Once I could do these things, but it is difficult for me now. I cannot see the stars clearly from this side of
heaven, from beneath the clouds. I have fallen low. I see them, but not clearly. I can plot their motions,
but my calculations are not as accurate any more. I believe that the stars have come into the necessary
alignment but I cannot be sure. I will wait until morning. Perhaps with the rising of the Morning Star
there may yet be some hope.

King of Terrors
We gaze and gaze but the abyss is blind,
turn in terror at the snap of twigs.
Death is nothing but everything at the end,
bitter anguish and bleak descentinto the mouth of the grave,
the snare, the bite, the sting.
We are torn from security
(such as it is)
of this fleshy tent
and marched off to face
the King of Terrors.
We are all gods ,
so the psalmist says and Jesus confirms,
we are all gods, and the sons of God,
but we will die just the same
we will die and fall like any prince of the realm.
This is a certainty, the only certainty.
He crushes and devours our bones
there will be nothing left.
And in this, even the old superstitions fail us,
all our ancient ghosts rising through
the damp veil of pale milk white fog,
the heralds have called his name,
the fanfare and flourish have been played;
receive the king of terrors, this guest will not be turned away.

Leviathan
Look! Look now!
See the Leviathan that I have made!
Look at my Leviathan! It is a mercy that he has not been made a plague for mankind.
From the waters of the west,
comes the first of the Lords Sea Monsters
springing from the deep, Leviathan coiled,
Leviathan the twisted and twisting,
brother to Behemoth of the land and Ziz of the air.
Who could strip him of his skin, even to make a sukkah of his skin
Who could penetrate the cavern of his maw
and who could return from those slashing teeth.
The smoke of his nostrils
the flame of his mouth
this is his terror;
he is terror, for who could resist him?
Thrusting spears and slashing swords
have no effect against Leviathan.
Look at him and tremble.
And yet, he will be spread open,
his flesh given out to feed the people.Him that fed upon the righteous
will, one day, feed the righteous.

Il Duce, Nixon, Putin,

despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew 6:24
A Collect
O Mammon, thou who has always sought for immeasurably more, give us, your starving children, a
portion of the treasure that we have wrested from the breast of the earth that we might buy bread for
our children, lest they die; through the Golden Calf who is your son and who came out of the fire for
thee; and by your Spirit of Desire, shes the dollars and shes the protection, one God forever and ever.
Amen.

Molech
Mechanical Molech, the horrid king,
with arms outstretched, besmeared with blood
of human sacrifice, the blood of children,
will not be satiated.
Gears and teeth grind
as the faithfully devoted
send their young into the fire.
The M-Machine, marching into war,
with tanks and treads and magazines,
oiled, fueled, and armored for the fight.
They are not men, but soldiers,
and he eats them whole.
Soldiers! Soldiers!
but his appetite is never satisfied.
So go on, feed your sons,
your daughters, too
into the flames of Molech.
His militant priests are already
beating the drums again.

There was murder in this house.
Now theres blood on the walls
and blood on the floorsblood stains the carpet,
and is spattered on the windows and doors.
There was murder in this house,
the house of the fallen.
The axe, the hammer, the knife
the saw, the rope, the cudgel
When the sons of God
(dark stars from dark skies)
took for themselves the comely daughters of men
as wife and concubines
Their ill-begotten offspring
are the giants of violence and lawlessness
remembered in myth and in legend
They are the corruption of man,
abnormal progeny, super-human prodigies
The axe, the hammer, the knife
the saw, the rope, the cudgel
There was murder in this house.

Og
It isnt discussed very often; preachers dont like to talk about it, for obvious reasons, but the flood,
Noahs Flood(though that is an altogether inaccurate title) wasnt entirely successful. The plan was that
the deluge would kill every living thing on the face of the earth with the exception of Noah and his
family. But there was one other unexpected survivor: King Og.
Gigantic King Og watched with bemused indifference as Noah and his boys built their toy boat and he
laughed as they herded the various animals below deck. But he stopped laughing when they pulled the
doors shut. And when the rain started to fall, King Og began growling and snarling.
He was tall, enormous really. So when the waters began to rise, he wasnt immediately concerned. He
was still standing in front of the ark starring up at the skies when the waters were ankle deep (which
was waist deep for everyone else.) When the waters reached his knees (and the rest of humanity was
either treading water or running for the hills) King Og began to pound on the sides of the ark.
He watched as mothers struggled to hold their infant children above the rising waters. He watched as
desperate men attacked the ark with pikes and swords attempting to get on board. Their blows were
turned away by the pitch covered wood; their attack was futile and came too late. They too were
drowned by the flood waters.
The rain continued to fall; the waters continued to rise, and soon the rising waters lifted the ark. As it
began to float away, brave King Og grabbed the stern with his enormous hands and, hand over hand, he
climbed aboard, squeezing the boat between his thighs to stay in place. The vessel rocked with his
added weight, but it was a stable craft, well designed to ride out the swelling waves. There, atop the ark
he rode through the angry fury of the storm. He howled with the winds. He shook his fist at the sky and
he cursed the lightning. The ark was rolled and tossed about on the waves, but Og kept his grip.
Day after day he clung to Noahs ark (though it was difficult to determine days and nights because of theimpenetrable cover of storm clouds that covered the sky). Once, after what must have been weeks,
when King Og was very hungry, he punched a hole in the roof of the vessel and grabbed an ox. He ate it
raw and bloody and bellowing as he clung to the boat with his other hand. When he reached in again
for more, Noah and his family beat at his fingers with rods and clubs and he almost lost his balance.
When the rains finally stopped and the waters began to recede, King Og, exhausted from the ordeal,
slipped from atop the ark and floated on the waters himself. It wasnt long, however, before he felt the
bump of solid land beneath him. Hed come to rest on a small island, what was once a mountain peak.
He could see in the distance that Noahs floating zoo had also been grounded on one ofthe island peaks.
Noah, observing the giant through his spy glass, watched King Og climbing carefully down the mountain
side, but never saw him again after that.
Many years later hundreds of years laterwhen he was very old and very tired, when hed reached
the point in life when he spent most of his days asleep in his famous giant iron framed bed, King Og
made one last valiant march to battle. He rode out with his generals and his assembled armies to meet
the Israelites as they invaded his land, but that was a flood he would not survive.

Orion
Canst thou loose the bands of Orion?Job 38:31
Bound was the ancient hunter
with cosmic bands of gravity, held between great galaxy clusters
but now those fetters are breaking,
and space is wearing thin;
the bands are loosed, the prisoner is escaping,
I have been monitoring changes
in that most recognizable constellation,
watching and recording his increasing motions.
Did you know that the fires off the shoulder of Orion
are already 7% hotter than at any time in the past 10,000 years?
Or that when Betelgeux explodes (as it is primed to do)
it will be visible on Earth, even during daylight hours?
But thats not the worst of it. No. Not nearly.
The stars are no longer fixed in space,
do you know what this means?
Orion, the giant, the primordial hunter
is about to escape, and when he does
he will be coming for us.

Phoenix
Hail, thou Becoming One!
Hail! Red-gold Bird of Dawn!
He comes not often into this land;he comes but seldom,
at the end of 500 years
to build a nest
upon the Altar of Paradise.
With patience, molds an egg
of myrrh and oil
and drops within its shell
a feather of his own.
Then placing the incense
upon the altar
he is consumed by the flames;
and the smoke of the incense
mixed with the prayers of the saints
ascends up before God.
Hail, thou Becoming One,
risen with healing in your wings!
After three days, a wind
that blows the ash and soot away
to reveal a wormthat will grow
and take on feathers
and assume his former shape again.
Thus to live forever
with the Name
that spoke his name
at the Suns first dawning.

Pythonic Spirit
And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain girl, having a pythonical spirit, met us, who brought
to her masters much gain by divining. Acts 16: 16
She inhales the rising fumes, noxious as they are, and swoons, falling softly onto the couch prepared forher. Her body convulses; violent spasms wrack her small frame and she is flung to the floor where she
writhes like a gross parody of a snake. Suddenly the contortions are over and she is still.
She speaks:
The flight of birds, the whispering trees, another will come.
Anxious generals should not sneer at windmills. Let the owls be your shields.
Bagabi laca bachabe. Lamac cahi achababe. Karrelyos.
To enter the multiplied thunders you must answer the hunger.
The gibbet is not yet yours.
Lamac lamec bachalyyas. Cabahagy sabalyos. Baryolas.
Recite the numbers of pi to the thousandth decibel.
The old man with the lantern and staff will bless the lovers.
Lagoz atha cabyolas. Samahec et famyolas. Harrahya.
And then she is silent. For a moment you fear that she might be dead, but you notice the slight
movement of her chest as she breathes. Her controllers lift her gently to the couch and cover her with
sheets before they speak:
Now Good Sirs and Mesdames, we can interpret the oracles words for you, for a small fee

Raphael
DATE OF OPERATION: 04/20/2013
SURGEON: Israfel A. Raphael M.D.
PREOPERATIVE DIAGNOSIS: Protrusions of the os frontisOPERATIVE PROCEDURE: Exostectomy. Subchondral drilling of damaged articular surface.
ANESTHESIA: Fiery Enflurane.
ESTIMATED BLOOD LOSS: Less than 20 cc
JUSTIFICATION FOR PROCEDURE: This is a 38-year-old male who presented to St. Clares Medical Clinic
and was treated by Dr. Azucuna for painful bony proliferations, horn-like growths on his forehead.
These growths were causing microstatic fluctuations and distinct magnetic disturbances around the
patient. Dr. Azucuna determined that it would be necessary to remove them immediately. It was
reviewed with the patient the likelihood for conservative treatment to be unable to completely resolve
his problem. Surgery was reviewed. The patient was explained that there would be two small bone cuts,
taking away the sharp bony proliferations and there would be an incision on the frontal aspects of his
skull. It was also explained that there would be chance of psychic anxiety and a decrease of range of
telekinetic motion for anywhere from 2-4 months status post procedure.
PREOPERATIVE PROTOCOL: Dr. Raphael placed one large fish upon a charcoal brazier and intoned "I am
Raphael, one of the seven angels who enter and serve before the Glory of the Lord." A bell was rung
three times.

The following are unclean for you among the small creatures that swarm on the ground: the weasel, the
mouse, the various kinds of lizards, the gecko, the land crocodile, the skink, the sand-lizard and the
salamander. Leviticus 11: 29 -30
With no digestive organs, he eats nothing but fire,
from elemental fire he is born, to eternal fire he goes,
but the fire can do nothing to him,
even the flame of Gehenna has no power over him.
Eating nothing but fire, he excretes nothing but fire,
nourished on flames but never consumed.
Though his skin is cool to the touch;
mortal flesh is burned by the poisons he exudes.
Prestor John, in his hidden kingdom,
wore a robe a salamander skin
to ward off the fiery darts of the enemy,
for he was one of the wise.
Capture and pierce the salamander,
you who are wise,
for his blood, smeared over the skin,
will protect and preserve life from the fire.

unequalled among the many.

and the path that he laid down for me.
Over floods,
over kings,
over people with peace.Tremble beneath my words.
Pray that the thunders cease
and will release you.

let the fields smile under their burdens,

the greatest (and most controversial)
German composer of the 20th

to capture the long fabled Unicorn.
The intemperate and fearsome beast,
the Unicorn of myth and legend,
valued for its horn- an effective antidote against many poisons -
once could only be captured by virgin maids,
can now be tracked and captured with stochastic processes.
Indeterminacy is the new virginity!
has become the rally cry of a reinvigorated industry
of unicorn hunters and alicorn providers.
John Cage is reportedly working
on a similar process to ensnare Wyverns.

barley from the ground
