IZZY MACDONALDEDEN COURTCREATIVE AMBASSADOR FORNAIRNACADEMY
Why did you want to become anAmbassador?I've always enjoyed the arts; fromdance classes,to playing instruments,to seeing films at the cinemaorwatching showswithmy family.EdenCourtwas a big part ofmy life growing up as it providedmewith regular dance and dramaclasses aswell as showing performances that I will never forget! Bybeinganambassador, I can share someofmyownEdenCourt experiencesbyprovidingnew information
tomembersofmycommunity,so they canenjoy thesameopportunities as I did andmake themostofthe facility.
What do you enjoy about working with Eden Court CREATIVE?The freedomtoexpress our own ideas and opinions on how to improve and continue their greatwork ofhelping youngpeople access the arts. Also having the opportunity toworkwith somany new youngpeople fromother areas in theHighlandswho Iwould not havemet otherwise!
What kind ofchallenges have you experienced as anAmbassador?Keeping up to datewith the number ofperformances and opportunities being provided at EdenCourt - there aresomany!
What has been your favourite moment as anAmbassador?Getting to help out and experience theBreakinConvention 2014! Someofthe groups performingwere out ofthisworldand I have somuch respect for peoplewho can dance like that.
What other opportunities does Eden Court offer you?I am lucky enough to have had the opportunity to performatEdenCourtmany times inmy life, including pantomimes, theBigDanceShow, and atmymusical theatre school TFX's annual show. I loved everyminute on stage and getting toperform in such professional facilities gives you such a buzz! What do you like most about your job?Startingmyweekwith the IntegratedPerformanceGroup; we are presently a group of50+peopleandwhenwe're all moving together, that's a lot ofenergy! At the other end ofthe spectrum, I lovethe one-to-onework; supporting people to relax into their bodies and engagewith their creativityand self-expression bringsmegreat joy.
Whats the most difficult thing about your job?AsharedCREATIVETeamofficewhere there is always lots to talk about and never enough time to do the stats!
