From 1 to 1 Million Meals Served


One bowl of pasta, and another one, and one more on top of the first two, and that’s how the number has been exponentially increasing from one child fed a day to 1,800 children daily in twenty-eight dif-ferent locations in Orange County, in a total of four-teen cities. Among all of them, we can mention: Los Angeles, Anaheim, Stanton, Buena Park, Garden Grove, Fountain Valley, Orange, Santa Ana, Long Beach. But, this love adventure started in April 2005, when Bruno Serato was touring with his mother the Boys and Girls Club of Anaheim, spotting a kid eating not a very healthy choice of a meal – potato chips - while drinking boxed juice. Those choices were the boy’s dinner, appalling Serato and his mother. Upon their return to the Anaheim White House, both of them cooked a pasta meal for that boy and for sever-al dozen others, and since that night, Bruno Serato, the Love Pasta Chef never stopped cooking. As one of latest additions and in order to ease off kids’ mode of transportation, he bought a van to transport kids daily from and back to Boys and Girls Club. Caterina Lunardi, Bruno’s mother, was the fire that, more than a decade ago, ignited the burning desire to help Orange County’s neediest children by creat-ing Caterina’s Club. After seeing that boy, Caterina made her emotions known to Bruno, her son, and she helped him that night to cook for the kids, a tra-dition that continues today, even if Mamma is not here with us anymore. From heaven, for sure she is looking down on earth at her beloved son with ap-proval and admiration. Hard financial times didn’t avoid Chef Bruno, who managed to keep his club afloat, refinancing the restaurant and his home in Huntington Beach. At one point, he was paying $50,000 out of his own pocket for the kids’ pasta meals. But he never gave up his dream the way he never gave up his personal Phoenix bird flight, from arriving in the U.S. as an Italian immigrant with poor English skills, forced to settle for the dishwasher position, to becoming in five years the chef and owner of the Anaheim White House, a hot spot in OC. From Verona to Anaheim, from a dishwasher to restaurant owner and later CNN Hero, Bruno Serato’s journey is one to be looked at and imitated. Nowadays Bruno’s endeavors branched out to other cities: New York, Chicago, taking like a love tsunami – Texas; it even reached one of our neighboring countries: Mex-ico. After a recent Italian tour, while being featured on many Italian television channels, The Power of Pasta Tour has started under Chef Bruno’s guiding torch; it involves 1,500 culinary students who have started collecting pasta for underprivileged families.

In the U.S., he created Chef Bruno Hospitality Program for 12 weeks, teaching the 28 students enrolled in the program the ins-and-outs of this industry.I guess if there is a will, there is a way! With the help of different other charity organizations, Bruno’s new Welcome Home housing program provides

families in need money for the first, last month’s rent and for a security deposit in order to move out of low-budget motels, often being on the edge of homelessness. As of today, he already moved 95 families, accounting for 500 people.Besides food on the table for kids, he is providing a roof above people’s heads, helping financing housing for youth and their parents. Pasta, marinara sauce, love and commitment are the in-gredients Bruno has been using for his Caterina’s Club since the first day he opened its doors, going from one child’s meal to one million meals served up to date! Is the sky the limit for this amazing soul? No, not even close!

This amazing and beautiful national historical land-mark was skillfully crafted by a gentleman named Dosithe Gervais in 1909. From there the home ex-changed hands from the Waterman family then on to Dr. Truxaw and his wife, Louise. The Truxaw family would call this lovely mansion their home for 50 years. Dr. Truxaw was well known to all in the community. Much like the restaurants current owner, Bruno Ser-ato, Dr. Truxaw had a reputation for “never refusing to help anyone.” He delivered 3,500 babies, spanning three generations. Bruno had the opportunity to meet many members of the Truxaw family’s new generation and has a great deal of respect of this great family. Jim and Barbara Stovall purchased the home in 1981.

Almost immediately, new plans were drawn up for the restoration of the home as “Thee White House Restau-rant,” which opened on New Year’s Eve of 1981. Today Jim and Bobbie Stovall are Bruno’s most loyal friends and customers. Making every effort to maintain the historical integrity and appearance of the home as it was in 1909, very few changes were made in the re-furbishment project. The restoration was copied from original existing pieces whenever possible. The interior of the home was restored with most rooms retaining their original size and shape. The fireplace in the main dining room and many of the windows are original.

In 1987, Today’s owner, an Italian from San Boni-facio, Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliette, Bruno Serato took over the ownership of the Anaheim White

House Restaurant, which now features Northern Ital-ian Steak House cuisine. In 2013 Bruno had an Italian artist, Daniele Dolino, remodel the interior and “tat-too” the entire main dining room with frescoes that you will only find the original castles and villas in Italy.

Sitting in the main dining room will take you to Flor-ence’s renaissance era. Bruno’s award-winning and signature entrees befit the establishment, and his phi-losophy is simple: to treat each and every one of his patrons as personal guests in his home.

Simple as it may be, Anaheim’s once “hidden trea-sure” is now recognized worldwide, and has become a “home” to many. Numerous celebrities such as Danny De Vito, Andrea Bocelli, Gwen Stefani, Derek Jeter, Lionel Richie, Sir Sidney Poitier and even former pres-idents Jimmy Carter and George W. Bush have en-joyed delightful dinners with Bruno’s magnificent fare. Anaheim White House has also catered events both nationally and internationally for many, including Bruno’s favorite ~ Madonna. Bruno’s restaurant has also won several awards of excellence.

Anaheim White House garnered the DiRoNA award, a very prestigious award given to only a select few in all of North America. Also the highly coveted Golden Sceptre award was given to Bruno as the highest honor by the S. California Restaurant Writers in addition to the Five Star Diamond Award by the American Acad-emy of Hospitality Sciences,

Are You Insuring Your Afterlife?

It’s so easy to assume we’re only what we see in the mirror as our physical selves. But deep inside we all know and accept—even when our ego mind works hard in trying to ignore for us this accep-tance—this body we now have, sooner or later is going to disappear. In my personal case, I know this Roxana I see right now as myself won’t last forever and that once I am ready to move on to my next step in the afterlife, I will definitely want to look back to see if I was able to use every mo-ment and every opportunity here to grow and evolve.

During the last “board meeting” I had with my heart and mind, I realized how hard it is for us to think about our evolution as energetic beings that are living a human experience for a short period of time. We live in a society where we’re constantly bombarded with FEAR-based ideas and recommendations on how to make sure ev-erything we currently have stays with us and it’s not lost or stolen. As a result of this crazy reality in which we have been conditioned to believe we can control all of our lives when in truth we only control a tiny percentage of it, from an early age we start to think that in order for us to have peace of mind we must insure our lives, health, businesses, cars, homes, furniture, and basically anything that is of great value to us, which per-haps could be at risk of being lost or taken away from us.

Don’t get me wrong. I don’t have anything against those that sell insurances or the ones that buy them. I myself have had to insure some of my “things” because it’s illegal to be uninsured; our system obliges us to do so. My point is that we’re all too focused on this material and temporary world as if it was the ONLY thing we had when in truth, it’s the least certain thing we can depend on.What percentage of the population is dedicat-ing at least a portion of their lives to insure their best possible afterlife? Who is even thinking about it anyway? It seems interesting to me the fact that we all love to plan for the future. But then, where is the ending line of this future? For the ma-jority death is the future’s deadline! Does this mean there is no future (non-linear, atemporal future) af-ter death? Goodness, if this was so, all the scientific theories explaining the energetic nature of this uni-verse would simply have to be thrown in the garbage bin and replaced by new theories we don’t have. More so, Einstein’s well accepted thesis stating that energy never dies and it only transforms would have to be erased from the collective con-sciousness of this planet.

Sadly, we are that same society which has estab-lished the limiting beliefs we continue to impose on ourselves as if we didn’t have any other choice. We are the ones choosing not to reflect on our evo-lution. Instead, we leave it to the scientists, as if this “matter” didn’t have to do with us, the ones who are evolving!

We still prefer to see ourselves as a “physical body with expiration date” and not as an eternal ener-getic being that will soon change and transform into something different, surely something greater. In other words, once our short-term vessel expires, all the money invested in all those insurances, all the material things we’ve acquired and kept insured so preciously stays here in the material world while we move on to the next step. Don’t you think that this system of beliefs where the material is what has the greatest value while our individual energetic bodies are completely ignored must definitely change if we truly want to see a more just and equal world?

Have you ever studied about how huge your true energetic Self is? And have you ever wondered if you’re doing all you need with it in order to rest in peace once it’s time to move on to your next level?

In the present is where we create our future, even the non-linear and atemporal future that comes after we physically die. We do so by taking time from our busy lives to meditate on all that is NOT material and CANNOT be insured. All that will “go” with us as part of our energy once we are ready to “die.” Ironically, that which cannot be insured here in this physical reality is precisely what will ensure our experience in the afterlife…

Oh, dearest life, you certainly are the most won-derful contradiction of all. Isn’t it amazing how you make us play the human game where we for-get all that we’ve known before birth and then re-cover it only when you’re no longer a part of us?

Paris Chansons is LA’s premier French band. Recently featured on the CBS/KCAL news, they are known for their original renditions of French favorites from Aznavour, Brel, Das-sin, Piaf, Montand all the way to contemporary artists like Zaz. Their exhilarating perfor-mances are punctuated with traditional jazz standards as well as classics in Russian, Italian, and other languages.

Four multilingual singers bring an unparalleled diversity to their shows. JEAN-LOUIS DARVILLE Jean-Louis began his career as an actor in Paris, then moved to Los Angeles. He has participated in many theater productions ranging from classical to contemporary pieces. Besides his own theatre company, Euro-Theatre, he has played with many prestigious companies including the Actors Gang and Cirque du Soleil. In Paris Chansons, he’s known for his dramatic performances of the songs of Brel, Ray Ventura, Gainsbourg as well as his original song, “Tango Parisien” and much more. He approaches the song as an actor and then lets the music take over.

JULIA & JACOB KANTOR Julia Kantor is the producer of Paris Chansons and one of the four vocalists. Originally from Lvov, Ukraine, she lived and studied in France where she fell in love with the language and music. Together with her husband, Jacob, a Russian-born singer/songwriter, she has appeared in clubs and festivals all over Los Angeles. They began singing together on their first date and have continued ever since, in French as well as Russian and English. Julia recently contributed vocals to a French children’s album which has been released through Habla Blah Blah.

Jacob Kantor, originally from Moscow, is the guitarist and one of singers in the band. He uses looping and effects pedals to cre-ate original renditions of French favorites like “Et si tu n’existais pas” and others. The couple also performs Jacob’s original songs, “Bamiyan” and “Voodoo” which have been re-invented into French by songwriter Zera Vaughan. Julia and Jacob launched Paris Chansons three years ago.

MAX COHEN Max Cohen is a Los Angeles-based performer born in Morocco and raised in Israel. From a young age he was immersed in the popular French music of the day. The songs he sings today are the true sounds of his life’s journey.

Max is known for his passionate performances of the works of Macias, Aznavour, Adamo as well as a rousing rendition of the Italian favorite “L’italiano” and Paris Chansons’ signature hit “Zingarella” which gets the audiences up on their feet and dancing.

SINCLAIR LOTT Drummer Sinclair Lott was born in Los Angeles where he currently lives and performs in a multitude of musical genres from commer-cial studio work to original jazz projects. Some of the musicians he has worked with include Freddie Hubbard, Tigran Hamasyan, Di-anne Reeves, Mose Allison, Frank Zappa, Vanessa Williams, Big Joe Turner, Billy Childs, Tierney Sutton, Otis Rush, Eric Gale, Mike Miller, Harry Allen and Bob Sheppard.


JEFF LAMS Jeff has contributed his talents as a producer, composer, arranger, artist or musician with multiple artists such as Donna Summer, Rita Coolidge, Bebe Winans, Sam Philips (Virgin Recording artist), Maureen McGovern, Larry Gatlin, Michael W. He has appeared with the Los An-geles Philharmonic and the orches-tras of Washington D.C., Seattle, Denver, Dallas, and Honolulu to name just a few.

Beyond that, he is also a multiple award-winning photographer and graphic artist, whose works are displayed in many prestigious collections. In 2010, Shutterbug Magazine chose one of his photos to grace the cover of their annual “Expert Photo Techniques” guide. Endre was designated “2015 Nature Photographer Of the Year” by the California Professional Photographers Association. ADAM COHENBASSIST/COMPOSERIn a city where the best of the best have set the bar high for their fel-low bassists looking to earn a place among them, Adam Cohen has carved out a healthy piece of the pie. On almost any given night in Los Angeles, Adam can be found lending his solid and creative sup-port to an array of artists covering a broad range of stylistic demands. Apocalypse or Awakening?by Teal Swan

You're probably feeling it... No matter how cloaked your perceptions have become throughout your life, it does not take much to be able to tell that we are in the process of a giant shift here on Planet Earth. This shift is creating rapid change. It is for this reason that you may be experiencing a good deal of anxiety at this time. The fact that there are large groups of people who have been firm in their beliefs recently that this shift is in fact the energy mounting only to culminate in the end of the world and an apocalypse does not help alleviate the anxiety. The intercultural prophecies surrounding 2012 as well as what main-stream media marketing has made out of them has put many people on earth in a powerless position of anticipation, questioning and fear. This fear is com-pletely unnecessary. The physical matter that you see in your physical environment is at its most ele-mentary level, nothing but energy. It is energy just like consciousness is energy. And consciousness is a universal truth, not just an individual truth. Univer-sal consciousness is changing. The consciousness of this dimension we are living in is changing. We are experiencing a great confluence of energies. Because of this, we are in the midst of a vast metamorphosis.


When the energetic vibration of consciousness rises, our physical dimension must stay in resonance with it. This is a universal law, because anything that is physical is merely the by product of consciousness. This means the Earth is raising its frequency and we as a human race are raising our frequency. We are making evolutionary changes as a species as we speak. This process can be called ascension because we will be expanding at a very fast rate beyond the re-strictions we have been experiencing for thousands of years. We are awakening to absolute, universal truth and to our own (non external) divinity. We are becoming more quantum and more inter-di-mensional at our very core. We are evolving past the foundation of both programmed and inherited beliefs into the knowledge that this is a universe of no restrictions and no limitations. This allows us to awaken into the objective view of the truth that always was, always is and always will be... that we create our own realities. And that we do so with our every thought. This galactic alignment (which is merely the physical byproduct of such a grand scale magnetic shift in our dimension following this shift of consciousness) does not spell the end of the world, it does not spell apocalypse. It spells a re birth. It is the birth of a new dimensional reality for us, the birth of a heightened consciousness. this is a grand scale awakening. The realization of an evolved state of being for the galaxy we live in.

To those who resist this change and cling to what was, it will indeed be a painful transition, for many will be convinced that they are losing their control, their identities and their realities. They will come face to face with the fear of death. They will find proof of it for themselves by looking at things like illness, wars and natural disasters. But as human-ity is approaching and in the midst of this critical juncture, you should know that just like any junc-ture, it is always your choice which path you take, the path of resistance or the path of allowance. If you choose to allow it and embrace this shift, you will not be swallowed up by this wave of change, you will be riding it. You will welcome this shift with open arms, excited for it. You will be able to experience the feeling of going with the flow of this change, and use its immense energy to achieve a state which perfectly matches the heightened fre-quency of this new consciousness. to either use our minds to cultivate a lowered or a heightened energetic frequency in and of ourselves. Let’s Leave Behind the “I” Generation!


Enough talking about me, really! So, what do YOU… think of ME?

Narcissism: the 21century most danger-ous virus. It is here to stay, and it is here to infest each and every one of us.

Is there a way to protect ourselves from it and how?

If in the 1940s and in the 1950s we had Life Magazine, in the 1970s People Magazine surfaced. Our focus narrowed even more with Us, and then we became self absorbed with Self. The 21st centu-ry is centered around “I:” iPhone, iPad, iTouch, iPod, and, of course, MySpace and YouTube and Facebook.

Can we become more narcissistic than this?

The whole world revolves around our own egotis-tical persona, and there is nothing more important than “me, myself and I.” How can we find some-one to share our lives with if “I” takes control over the whole space? How can we see human qualities in others if “I” has already conquered the arena?

The more technology has advanced, the more human touch has disappeared. We became the result of our quest, the quest to know more, live well, and rely less on others. We became the sur-rogates of a society that doesn’t need love and feelings, emotions, and TLC. Hiding ourselves in cubicles at work, behind computer screens for on-line dating we have isolated ourselves while growing our own ego bigger and stron-ger. Financially- we are better off, physically - we are healthier, intellectually – we are definitely smarter, so Me, Myself and I are the best friends that I can possibly have. I can conquer the world; I am the master and the servant; I am the light and the darkness, I am the yin and the yang; I am the sunrise and the sunset.

Did we become so self-absorbed that we don’t need anybody else in our lives?

So, then, why are we still talking about looking for our soul mate? How can someone match us in our wish to love ourselves?

John Steinbeck, the famous American writer once said, “It has always seemed strange to me... the things we admire in men, kindness and generos-ity, openness, honesty, understanding and feel-ing, are the concomitants of failure in our system. And those traits we detest, sharpness, greed, ac-quisitiveness, meanness, egotism and self-interest, are the traits of success. And while men admire the quality of the first, they love the produce of the second.”

We need to look at ourselves in the mirror and stop this process of self-destruction. We need to see that our EGO is what keeps us separate from others; it is what gives us false power, thick skin, inflated personalities, unequaled self-worth, and the “narcissistic I.”

People need to reach out to others in order to better themselves. Communication is the key to

a harmonious life, to an advanced, sophisticated family where sincerity, open stance and uncondi-tional support are the key ingredients.

We get what we ask for and what we project in the universe based on the Laws of Attraction. So, in order for the universe to give us the best, we need to be at our best in the open-mindedness of the brain and the caring of the heart!

Let’s turn the cold, rigid I into the warm, all-in-clusive WE!

We shall overcome, we shall overcome, the catch cry rings out across the land after being blinded for eons by a false result driven mindset. A new vision has ar-rived, from across the horizon, the world is no longer flat, behold we have landed on yours and our shoreline. Boy was that a slow train coming.

We may have the ideas, motivation, creativity and in-telligence but the employer is holding the reins and his box thinking education can’t be held against him.

We, yes we, you and me have moved over the tipping point from duty acceptance to, what is this crap of not owning ones true integrous authentic self. It’s a big question, so where did this over allowing come from? Unfortunately it all goes back to the roots of where we came from. Yep it’s a big statement and some of you may have that past life, ancestral, reincarnation thing happening but is that helping or avoiding the here and now. I am talking this time-frame!

Consciousness has a way of delivering the “HARD TRUTH”. No doubt it’s been unfortunate but mindset has had its day, but hey, if you want to build that new foundation, build it on falseness and measure the time before you arrive back where you started many many times previously. Interesting isn’t it, when in business we incorporate for protect ourselves from engagement

so the veil can’t be penetrated when we stuff up and don’t want to be responsible. But for us, the human where is that protection when we engage with another.

As we grow education instills in us the sequencing of how to be as a man as a woman in the world, successful, married, family, financial and the endless other stuff. For some they didn’t buy into it, so they followed their passion and created a personal world where rewards and benefits are a two way street, good for them, good for you and me! How do we jump ship and join them, that is today’s most puzzling question?

Believe me you have heard this a thousand times over in your life “KNOW THY SELF” but they left out that one crucial word “FIRST”. First means beforeanything, anyone, you come first!!! No this is not some religious mumbo-jumbo, just plain good old com-mon sense, who you are what you are, is not the same! If there is any truth to the statement “you are unique” then stop, stop now, and stop listening to general-izations. For you are more than you will ever know, greater than you will ever conceive. The idea that when self-sufficient in knowledge leads to how we can help ourselves personally and in business is the biggest load of poison we ever ingested individually and collectively.

If there is any light in your mind about the fact “everything is connected” then mentally, literally un-derstand this…the same process functions unnotice-ably across the board in all the many different vari-ations of how we function in life. And we saw this in the recent recession, the majority of businesses who stayed with their existing systems are no lon-ger here and those who recognized the need to ad-opted new strategies, who engaged in risk to match the changing organic new reality, are thriving, yes oh yes. Bless those CEO”s and decision makers for they gave opportunity to their workers, their families, their children and the community received the ripple effect. How, by recognizing the moment, their quick decisions benefited each and every one. If you can’t see that this a small part of everything connected then stop reading and go buy a newspaper.

As humans how we function and awake during our journey is no different to how a business becomes successful. A business “Vision / Mis-sion” is no different to the foundation of how you see the “Who / What” you are! All the sta-tistics coming out in 2016 surveys claim, you as an employee or solo entrepreneur are more important than any strategies or systems, hal-leluiah. Don’t you just love recognition!!! Dis-cover by any number of means, the self. Look on the internet and see what fits and get rid of the rest. As you go about your daily life be aware of how you function, gauge the results you achieve, observe your triggers and make adjust-ments. Of course I have the best system on the planet and that will be your choice.

Why go back to the beginning? Foundation is everything, the world of change demands it, listen to the universe, listen to your inner be-ing, find that resonance, pay attention to syn-chronized results for they are the tell-tale of the stories you are following…or it may be the self, following passion in the now continued path of personal Qi. My Gift for you now is your mindset creates your action but your motive determines the driving force that sets that action into motion. Become mindful of

your motive, is it emotional or mindset take notice if it comes for lack (in order to gain) is it a cause, conscious or unconsciously wanting a result, or as a free gift (a solo action) not want-ing or needing an end result. This come from advanced Everything is Connected Feng Shui.

The Direction of Joy

Since the beginning of time humans have searched for answer to the essential ques-tions regarding the human experience. Is there a God ?

Is there a purpose for existence? If so, what is that purpose?

What is the right way to live?These questions are at the heart of every cul-ture that has ever existed and yet so many feel there is no real answer to be found. As we examine all of the information at our dis-posal in the 21st century from Ayurvedic science to String Theory, we begin to recog-nize a pattern. All sources are basically telling the same story over and over, each from a unique perspective but with a similar starting point.

If we consider the basic principles of quantum physics and the parables from the Bible we can see they support one another allowing a complex yet simple understanding of how the universe truly operates.

Albert Einstein: “I am enough of an artist to draw from my Imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination en-circles the world.”

Hebrews 11:1: Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of this go not seen.Both of these sources assert that everything that is was once imagined.

When we believe that what we can imagine we can also create, we are empowered to make manifest our wildest dreams as the world around us is always a direct reflection of our beliefs. When we understand this we can better direct our lives. The universe tru-ly is a well organized, perfectly ordered system and when this is truly understood we can enjoy a sense of ease knowing that we need not struggle against life.

Everything we come across is directing us to this understanding. The universe works like a GPS. If we request a specific destination the GPS will di-rect us step-by-step to our desired end point only if we trust in its ability to do so. If we do not have faith in the GPS we may questions every dictated turn and consequently feel frustrated and lost. But the GPS does not care how far we travel in the wrong direction, it will always recalculate and get us from where we are to where we desire to be. The GPS is a fractal of how the universe operates, it is always steering us in the direction of our desire and we simply have to trust and allow.

Similarly, when we begin to trust in the natural laws of the universe we will discover how well-organize it truly is and at this point we start to live the life we instinctively know we deserve to live.

Do not trust what I’m saying just because it is writ-ten here. We must come to discover it ourselves and formulate our individual truth. After all, most if not all of our confusion comes from what other people tell us (even when their intentions are good) what we should be doing without truly knowing it themselves. When people in our life come to know how the laws of the universe operate their role is to simply offer up guidance to assist us in our own discovery. One of the things we first realize is that we are all on our own path, no two are alike,

but we share the common desire to live a joyous life.

When we become excited about the choices we make the universe will automatically pres-ent the process that best suits our individual needs based on where we are, because the uni-verse knows where we are at all times. If we follow these signs and act on them as best as we can we will find ourselves heading in the direction of joy. Remember, life is about direc-tion and if we choose the direction we prefer the universe will keep laying down the path to support our journey. We can also choose to head away from out preferences and we will be equally supported in that journey through experiencing fear, frustration, and sadness re-sulting in a life of struggle.

As we choose the road we prefer all of life’s questions will be answered in perfect timing. Let’s enjoy our preferred journey together!

Soul to Soul to seek your Soul Group you remem-ber so very much and you long to tune into the Sound of your Soul Group to find home within your Heart. Accompanying effects you may feel the urge to start changing what you eat detoxify and use physical exercise to balance your Body, Mind and Spirit.

The conclusion may not looked at; yet but primed to move forward to a life Changing event to serve the purpose than ever experienced.Big time for sure! And then, when you almost framed the option to overcome, another wave of awareness may arise to unfold further aspects you need to let go now.

Furthermore, the month of April you experience an awareness, confusion that fogged your mind will be lifted; yet it will be the perfect time to open up to the trust to courageous steps forward to your own transformation to something better.

This transformation will set things into motion where you feel the urge to let go of a job that invaded and limited your powerful source with-in. Served the part of material foundation and almost burned you out to become an empty shell.“A dead Shell is of no use and its purpose would not have truly revealed its true nature and the treasure it hides.”

We kindly remind you to remember this, while you progress through the weeks of April. Know that the timing is perfect and it all will make sense to a higher degree when you have shifted lower frequency and changed to higher energies which is full of light!

This month can shake you up and invite further occurrences into your life to let go of unhealthy relationships that may not nourishes one another in the best way. Don´t be afraid and remember that you are eternally loved. See the truth in the

28 acclaimed actors, musicians, and dancers take to the stage to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death in a star-studded one-night-only performance at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.

Noted Shakespeare expert and Shakespeare schol-ar (Globe and Huntington productions) Louis Fan-tasia will return to write, direct and produce this performance, which will feature an all–star cast of Jimmy Akingbola, Ashley Bell, Eric Braeden, Adan Canto, Jane Carr, Suzan Crowley, Karen David, Neil Dickson, Joely Fisher, Judy Geeson, Michele Greene,

Ioan Gruffudd, Randy Guiaya, Harry Hamlin, Lexie Helgerson, Isabella Hofmann, Stacy Keach, Jen Lee, Jack Lowe, Jim Nowakowski, Timothy Omundson, Victoria Platt, Joe Spano, Sir Patrick Stewart, Joan Van Ark, Sherry Williams, Robert Wisdom and Mi-chael York. The cast will be joined by members of the LA Impro Theatre.

Legendary Rocker Dave Mason


The Eden Magazine has had the great oppor-tunity to interview Legendary Rocker Dave Mason. Dave has an illustrious career span-ning nearly 50 years, encompassing produc-ing, performing, and songwriting. Mr. Mason has been performing live since he was 16 years of age.

Dave Mason the Worcester England native-founded the group Traffic with Steve Win-wood in April of 1967 while both were still teenagers with Jim Capaldi and Chris Wood to form the legendary band Traffic, who had a profound effect on the genre of rock and roll, and created music that would find its’ way into the hearts of generations of music lovers. He would go on to establish himself as a successful songwriter, guitarist and solo artist.

While still a teen Mason penned the Traf-fic hit “Feelin’ Alright”. The song became a global rock anthem and has been recorded by dozens of artists (including Joe Cocker who had a huge international hit with the song), “Feeling Alright” remains a highlight of Mason’s live shows today.

After extensive touring with Traffic through-out the UK and Europe, Mason headed for the USA to pursue a solo career. He struck international gold with his debut album ‘Alone Together’, which is considered a sem-inal rock classic. The album was special in every manner; known for its’ psychedel-ic marbleized vinyl, the vertical gatefold packaging, and of course the hits ‘Only You Know And I Know’, ‘World In Changes’, ‘Shouldn’t Have Took More Than you Gave’ and more. The album has sold many millions of copies since its’ original release.


Five highly successful albums for the CBS/Sony label followed, four of which received gold album certification in the US. His next album "Let It Flow" sold millions of copies and contains another major Mason classic "We Just Disagree". In addition to perform-ing to sold-out audiences and being a perma-nent staple in record collections and hearts of fans around the world, Mason’s unique guitar work can be heard on many landmark albums and songs such as the Rolling Stones "Beggar’s Banquet", George Harrison’s "All Things Must Pass", Paul McCartney’s "Listen To What The Man Said" and Jimi Hendrix’s "Electric Ladyland". Hendrix’s major rock standard "All Along The Watchtower" fea-tures Dave playing the acoustic guitars before Hendrix’s soaring entrance onto the track.

The song is a big favorite of Dave’s and he per-forms it in nearly every one of his live shows. Dave Mason’s career spans several important rock eras, and encompasses his work as a pro-ducer, performer, songwriter, and consum-mate guitarist. In 2004, Mason was induct-ed into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his work with the groundbreaking group Traffic.

EM; I know through out your career you played with many pop and rock musician, who was the most that you had a memorable story to share with us.

DM; I have worked with are all memorable, the fact that Hendrix let me play the acoustic guitar on his version of All Along The Watchtower, Michael Jackson singing on a song called "Save Me". Whilst he was on a break recording in the other studio I was working in, I asked him if he would sing a part on the song, he looked at me for a minute and said “When I was 12 years of age I did a TV special with Diana Ross, at the end of the show we sang a song called Feeling Alright, so yes I’d be happy to sing on your song.”

Raising Spiritual Childrenby Richard Lassiter


I have had the privilege being father to 3 sons and a daughter. I have worked with young peo-ple in various capacities since 1972 including teaching for 18 years. In 1993, I wrote the only leadership-training program especially for young people, 7 - 21 years of age, available in the US at the time. I am not an expert... I am experienced enough to know there are no "experts" when it comes to old souls with young bodies. Parents, teachers, scout troop leaders, doctors, etc., all do the best they know how based on their experiences.

My approach is a little different because I don't see young people as inexperienced beings. I see them as older, more evolved souls than I am look-ing for direction in this world so they can unfold to their full potential. They are souls with the experience of many, many lifetimes. They have their own life's mission, their Spiritual Gifts of Intuition, Vision, Prophecy and Feeling and a team of Master souls to help them complete that mission. The first thing I do when I meet anyone is ask my angels what gift they are working with so I can communicate with them and not to them.

When I was teaching, I would take the roll of incoming classes and check with my Helpers what the First Gift of each student was. This enabled me to seat them with students who had compli-mentary gifts rather than competing gifts. This had an amazingly positive affect on the classroom. I had my children spiritually profiled as soon as possible after birth so I could better work with their energy. My granddaughters have known their great grandparents, grandmother's, parent's, sib-ling's and aunt and uncle's gifts all their lives. It makes a real difference.

As experienced adults, you can learn many beauti-ful things from children as you patiently introduce them to the boundaries and guidelines of planet earth. A key is not to force their timing and to give them as much freedom during Cycle-One (0-7 years) as they can handle... then give them a little more. And they can handle much more freedom than most people realize. Hovering over them and advising their every move is quite harm-ful, in my opinion. If you want them to grow quickly, allow them to make mistakes. They are very smart and learn quickly from their "step-

ping-stones." They learn at a much slower rate when parents do for them what they are capable of doing for themselves. And you wont see how amazingly bright they are until you let them learn for themselves.

The first 21 years of life on earth make up 3 foun-dational seven-year spiritual cycles; 0-7, 7-14 and 14-21.

If they get a solid foundation and healthy sense of self during the first two cycles, they will have very fulfilling lives.

A soul comes into planet earth pure feelings. Babies and very young children radiate the love they are to everyone. Their communication is crystal clear. If something in their environment feels uncomfortable they freely let the whole house know about it. They are communicating, "Something in my environment is encroaching on my free will to feel good all the time." When the want is fulfilled, they are back to being love in ac-tion again.

During Cycle One (0-7) the soul learns the likes and dislikes of those raising him. The child ab-sorbs everything in the environment. During this cycle, what you think is at least as important was what you say. They are very psychic.

During the cycle of 7 - 14, the perception of Intuition, Vision, Prophecy and Feeling begin to fully blossom. The intellect is developing rapidly and children are learning to think independent-ly. They are sensing where they fit in relation to a bigger picture.

There are two aspects that are predominant during this cycle: one is a desire to be a part of the family and to be cared for. There is also a budding desire to be individuals and make their own decisions. They want to learn to develop a sense of individuality - of finding their true self. They learning to develop a sense of mutuality and to share with, and be considerate of others. At home there is safety, harmony, comfort, warmth, and security. At the same time, they seek to explore their own capabilities - to become master of their destiny.


I think it essential that a young person know how to communicate with their spiritual helpers by this point in life (if not in Cycle One). They are seeking personal direction. How can I better be of service to my children than teaching them to go to their angels when in need of clarification or direction? This way they learn from experi-ence that they have all the answers they need with them at all times. They learn to believe in them-selves and their ideas.

The cycle of 14-21 is the time when young peo-ple are concerned with finding out who they are as individuals. They begin to realize that they are not just a part of the family they grew up with, but that they are their own persons with their own thoughts, feelings and life purpose. Successful work experience is very important during this cycle as it gives them the opportunity to experience their competence.

This is the age of independence. Freedom of choice is very important during this time. Young people begin to reawaken to the same sense of freedom they had when they were born. The only difference is that they no longer need someone to tell them what to do. All they need is just a few guidelines to live by. If young people in this cycle doesn't feel they have the freedom they need, they will rebel.

I have learned a tremendous amount from the young people I have had the privilege of knowing. My children have been and continue to inspire me to look deeper and see things with new eyes. Knowing their spiritual gift order gives them self-confidence and acceptance of others who communicate differently. Knowing how to work with their team of angels enables them to go with-in where their real answers are. I love seeing the young people in my life following their own lead, feeling confident in doing so and sharing their enthusiasm for life. They show me how magical my life is everyday.

A Fasting Primer

Some do it for detoxification while others for spiritual enlightenment. Whatever your reason, it's a good one to fast for a small amount of time. Jesus Christ fasted for 40 days and 40 nights. That's a tad bit extreme but then again, he was the son of God. All religions do it at some point or another. The Native Americans would fast to help advert bad spirits. The philosophers and thinkers of old including the great Hippocrates, Plato, Socrates, and Aristotle all included fasting as part of their healing regime. Early religious or spiritual groups used fasting as part of ceremo-nies and rites usually around the change of the seasons. They believed it increased magical abil-ities. Christians may still use fasting as part of penance, purification, or mourning.

The practice of fasting, or abstain from solid food goes back thousands of years and has long been recognized as an integral part of the human body's healing process. When you fast, you give your body a much-needed rest from digestion. The method of digestion requires a great deal of energy; hence, why most of us are tired after a big lunch. All of the body's systems, from the circulatory to the endocrine work very hard and play a major part in digestion. This holds espe-cially true if what we just ate is not the healthiest. Our liver, gallbladder, and pancreas work over-time processing toxic fats and chemicals. Eating in general really takes it out the body. It's hard to instill in our minds that once we swallow it's not over. The real work begins requiring some real energy. It is estimated that up to 65% of your body's energy is needed to digest after a large meal. It's no wonder that if we take this hard labor away it frees up the body to expend its en-ergy on other important things, like clearing out the remaining leftovers. In case you don't know this, it can take days for your body to eliminate the steak and potato dinner you had the other night. And when it does eliminate, well let's just say not everything is so eager to leave. Imagine this theory, built up year after year for decades. Your poor, dear colon!

The benefits of fasting are broad indeed. Here are my top seven reasons fasting is a good idea:


1. Gives your poor digestive system a break that will allow it to eliminate old, built-up waste that has accumulated in your colon over the years. 2. Toxicity clean up. The energy saved can go to work at clearing out harmful toxins that are stored in your liver. 3. Mental clarity anyone? It has been shown that fasting for a period of three days can help to elim-inate the mental fogginess and sluggish feeling that plagues most of us. Always remember that the same blood that travels through your colon is the same blood that travels to your brain. Enough said. 4. Increased energy level. Most everyone that has fasted has claimed to feel lighter with an increase in his or her energy level. I'll take that! 5. Allows for healing. The recorded physical andmental benefits of fasting are enormous. Clear skin, reduction of allergies, better sleep, better attitude, less anxiety, sinus drainage, may heal degenerative and autoimmune diseases, just to name a few. 6. Spiritual awakening. Fasting has been carried out my millions of millennia for good reasons. Most often, religious beings (no matter what their religion happened to be) have participated in regular fasting to connect easier with Spirit and their Higher Self. Whether this was because they were hallucinating from hunger remains to be scientifically proven. 7. Weight loss. The MOST important one, right? For most of us this may very well be. When a person fasts a lot of weight will disappear from the scale initially, mostly water. Once you eat again you will gain some back. The benefit with fasting for weight loss lies herein. During a fast, you are essentially pressing the reset button. Your taste buds, being free from all the salt, fat, and chemicals we've condi-tioned them to love, will learn to be fond of foods in their natural state. We just might find a new repul-sion for refined, processed, fast "foods". Our eating behavior will change. Fasting is a great way to begin a weight loss program for these reasons.

I should mention that there might be some un-pleasant side effects of fasting. Headaches, hunger, dizziness and fatigue are the big ones. You should choose to fast during a weekend when you can rest at your leisure and be sure to let you family know what you're doing and why. Let them know how im-portant it is to you and you need their support with it. This is in no way permanent. These side effects let you know that your body is getting rid of toxins and cleaning itself out. The greater your toxicity lev-

el, the greater the side effects. They should subside after three days however, if they don't you should stop the fast.

There are all sorts of fasts and of course, you want to pick the one that suits you and your lifestyle well. We don't all live in a hippie commune in the mountains away from the hustle and bustle of real life. As I'm sure, most of us would love to?

If you've never fasted before I recommend only one day of liquids. Just no solid food. So juices, smooth-ies, broths, soups, herbal teas and lots of water. If you would rather eat some solid foods another type of fast is eliminating all processed foods and only eat raw, organic food in their natural state. There's also the water only fast. I'm not a fan of this one longer than one day. Really though, a liquid only fast is the way to go for longer periods with a light, raw and vegan dinner to help the bowels move further.

How often should one fast? I recommend a 3-5 day liquid only fast once per quarter. It is easiest to re-member to fast with the change of the seasons. In addition to fasting and actually, during your fast I advise daily enemas or visiting a colon hydro thera-pist for a colonic. If you live in the Raleigh, NC area Darlene Holloway has an excellent colon-cleansing program that can be incorporated with your fast.

As always, please consult your doctor before con-ducting a fast if you are diabetic, have heart or liver conditions. Children and pregnant women should never fast for any reason. If this is your first fast, it is best that it be guided with a holistic practitioner, like me.

At the completion of fasting, it is very easy to want to eat everything and anything. You will be hungry and you should start to incorporate solid food back into your diet nice and slow. Start with soups, move into the raw vegan foods before getting into the heavy stuff like meat, gluten, and dairy. I hope that you would have developed an aversion to this nasty trio anyway.
