Living with Jesus, in community, on a mission.
Our world is in turmoil… unstable… full of pressures and uncertainties. And sometimes the problems can seem so overwhelming we wonder if there are any answers to the needs, to the troubles, to the tribulations we face. But there is an answer. And that answer can be found in prayer. In fact, God is looking for people like you and me who will so connect with Him in prayer, that He can unleash His power through us. It is a power to overcome any trial, any difficulty, and any challenge. It’s a power that can change our nation, and our world! Dr. Jack Graham
On Thursday, May 7th, our nation will celebrate the National Day of Prayer. New Hope believes in the power of prayer and is open for your prayer needs. There are prayer groups that pray for the church, for the ministries, for the leadership and for God’s people. “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with
all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” Ephesians 6:18

It’s Banquet time again! And this year, we’re celebrating 10 years!
A decade of our Senior Recognition/Mission Trip Fundraiser/Extravaganza! Join us for this special evening on Sunday, May 3rd from 5:30-8:30pm at Traders Point Christian Academy. We’ll start off the evening sharing a meal together, recognizing our New Hope senior class and hearing of their
plans after graduation. We’ll see our mission trip participants, and show our support by bidding on items at the silent auction throughout the evening. This is the only fundraiser for their summer
mission trips. There are several ways you can join in on the fun as an individual, group or business.
Purchase a ticket ($15) or have your life group, Sunday school class or business be a sponsor and purchase a table for $200. Donate an item for our silent auction.
Tickets go on sale April 5th at the Welcome Center. Auction donations can be dropped off any Sunday between April 5-26 at the Welcome Center. Call the church office at 317-769-3647 or
Laura Hardin (317-769-5547) with any questions.

The Mission Team is a group of New Hope members whose goal is to show God’s love by assisting our missionaries and budgeting our faith promise pledges. They also help to provide assistance to the mission trips that take place with groups from New Hope. If you would like to know more about this ministry, please contact someone from the team below or contact the church office.

This year’s theme is: EVEREST – Conquering Challenges with God’s Mighty Power. The verse for the week is: …so we can say for sure, “The Lord is my helper. I am not afraid of anything man can do to me.” Hebrews 13:6 During the week children will learn that God has the power to provide, to comfort, to heal, to forgive and most importantly he has the power to love us forever.
The dates of VBS: June 8–12 from 8:30–11:45. This year we are offering a pre-teen VBS for (5th & 6th grade) that will meet the same days & times. These students will meet at the church every morning and go directly to the drama, then go off site for activities such as: bowling, roller skating and other activities. Parents are required to register their child and fill out a medical release form before their child can participate. Central Brazil Mission will be our mission for the week. Several adults from New Hope have gone and served on the “Amazonian” as it goes from village to village meeting the needs of sick people in Brazil.
VBS registration is open on-line. Volunteer registration is also on-line for anyone who wishes to volunteer. Those volunteering who are 18 years old, and older, that have not had a background check run on them within the last 3 years will be asked to fill out the paperwork for the church to run a background check. If anyone has had a background check run for business or school within the past 3 years, giving the office a copy of that background check is acceptable.
VBS Registration: Keep watching for the VBS display to be in the foyer. Pick up a few post cards to mail to friends, family, and neighbors so they know they are welcome to come join the fun. Also, for a $5 donation you can pick up a CD or digital card to download the music for this year.
VBS Friday night from 5:00pm – 8:30pm we will have a SPECTACULAR end of the week party with two closing programs, similar to last year. Be watching the bulletin for more information.
Upward Soccer at New Hope: Upward soccer is just around the corner. On line registration will open on April 6. The cost is $65.00 if you
register before June 14. If registering after June 14 the cost will be $75.00. Go to: www.newhopecc.net to register on line.
