WelcomeWelcome to our April - September Walks programme. Our walks are ideal for people who want to improve their general health and wellbeing, and are great for people of all ages to take up walking in a safe and sociable atmosphere.

- All walks are dog friendly unless stated- All walks are adult only unless stated- All walks are free of charge- There is no need to book, just simply turn up- If you have any special requirements, please contact our walks co-ordinator [email protected]

Waggy Tails WalkEnjoy a group walk with fellow dog lovers. Find new exciting areas to walk your four-legged friend. All dogs must be on non-extendable leads.

Walking FootballIf you thought your footballing days were over…then think again! Walking Football is a slower paced version of ‘the beautiful game’ which has encouraged thousands of men and women up and down the country to rediscover the joys of playing football again.

Walking NetballWalking Netball is a slower version of the game;it is netball, but at a walking pace. The game has been designed so that anyone can play it regardless of age or fitness level.

Power WalksPower Walking is a low-impact way to improve cardiovascular endurance and helps tone and strengthen your muscles. Power walking improves physical health and burns the same amount of calories as jogging.

Making Strides Walk Weds 9th May, Spinning Gate Shopping Centre, 9.15am

A unique walk along the Leigh Guided Bus Way. Walk the full 10 miles or get the bus back at any of the stops along the route.

It is advised to bring refreshments, or join us in grabbing a bite to eat at The Boundary Stone pub, Ellenbrook at the halfway point.

Spot the Artwork Walk Sat 5th May, Bickershaw Village Community Club, 11am-12.30pm

Bring along the family to our fun, interactive artwork walk around Low Hall Nature Reserve. Join our guided walk and find the hidden tree art along the route.

Bring along the littles ones and join us for a social walk along the canal towpath. Take in the beautiful scenery and enjoy the great outdoors whilst having a chin wag with other like-minded adults.

Take a stroll around Low Hall Nature Reserve and learn more about the history of the area from the ‘Friends of’ Low Hall Group. The site is full of beautiful wildlife and interesting history and this is your opportunity to discover more about the area.
