Problems on Trains

1. A train crosses a pole in 12 sec. It crosses a bridge of length 300m in 27sec. what is the time taken by the train to cross a bridge of length of 600m?

2. A train crosses a bridge of length 122m in 17 sec. it crossed another bridgeof length 210m in 25 sec. find the length of the train?

3. A train travelling at a speed of 54kmph crosses a platform in 36 sec and aman standing on the platform in 20 sec. find the length of the platform?

4. A train of length 240m travelling at a speed of 64kmph overtakes a manrunning at a speed of 10 kmph in __ sec ?

5. A train starts from a station X at 6am and reaches another station Y at 10am. Another train starts from station Y at 8am and reaches station ‘X’ at11:30am. At what time do the trains cross each other?

A train crosses a pole in 12 sec. It crosses a bridge of length 300m in 27 sec.what is the time taken by the train to cross a bridge of length of 600m?

Ans :NOTE:• To cross a pole, A train has to travel a distance equal to length of train.• To cross a bridge, A train has to travel a distance equal to length of train +

length of the bridge.
