Our AQUABOX is madefrom locally-sourcedcomponents, and is assembled here in Stratford by dedicatedvolunteers, so there are NO administrationcosts. A basic hygiene kit is also packed ineach unit.

Global Medic, a non-profit disaster responseorganization of paramedics and first respondervolunteers, distributes the AQUABOX units

globally to those most inneed, including disaster-stricken areas of LatinAmerica, the Carribean,and Southeast Asia.

Each AQUABOX costs about $50. So each tax-deductible donation of $50 will enable us to supply one AQUABOX unit to a family hit by disaster.

Earthquakes. Hurricanes. Tsunamis.Floods. Refugee displacements.Disasters such as these seem to be increasingin frequency and severity around the world.

They leave behind damaged infrastructure and contaminatedwater supplies.

People resort to drinking anywater they can find, usually frompolluted sources. Those who drink

this unsafe water are at increased risk fromwater-borne diseases such as cholera and typhoid. The elderly and very young are particularly vulnerable, with approximately 2,000 children under 5 years dying every day*.

The AQUABOX project,sponsored by the RotaryClub of Stratford Charita-ble Foundation, is helpingto change that. And youcan help too.

AQUABOX is a simple,low-cost filtration system that can provide

purified drinking water to a family of fivefor up to a year.It uses silver-impregnated ceramic cartridges capable offiltering 15 litres of pollutedwater in each fill, trapping virtually 100% of harmful bacteria and protozoan cysts.

The AQUABOX project was adopted in 2006 by the Rotary Club of Stratford CharitableFoundation. Since then we have built and
