Ahlan wa sahlan!(Welcome)Thank you for your interest in this book and your interest in learning Arabic language! I was just like many of you, English is my first language. The first time I saw the Quran in Arabic, I thought, There is no way I can learn to read this! However, I can tell you that I did and YOU CAN too! By Allahs permission, I have taught Arabic language to many Englishspeakers, young and old. One thing I am sure about is that EVERYONE can learn, but not everyone can learn at the same pace. Some people can handle a fast-paced learning environment where they are immersed in the language. Other people need a slower pace in which they can ponder over each step. With my curriculum, you can create your own pace. Use my Suggested Study Schedule to move as quickly or as slowly as you choose. My workbook series and website are designed to take you from alif-baa-taa, to reading the Quran and speaking Arabic, by the permission of Allah. So get focused. Begin to envision yourself reciting the Book of Allah with ease in your most beautiful voice. Imagine yourself receiving those hasanaat on your scale, or 10 rewards for every letter. Imagine your Iman, (your faith) increasing due to your understanding of Allahs eloquence and being guided by His speech! Learning to Read the QuranFor this series, you will need a mus-haf, which is a copy of the complete Quran in Arabic. I suggest a large copy and not a small one. In the beginning, reading will be difficult. It may take several minutes just to struggle through a few words. Do not be discouraged, rather be determined! After difficulty comes ease. With patience and consistency, reading will become easier and easier as you accustom your eyes to the Arabic text and your mouth to the pronunciation of the letters. If you follow the Suggested Study Schedule, you will choose one surah to read on Wednesdays. You must stick with that surah until you complete this level inshaAllah. The more you read that one surah, the easier it will become. In other words, the more you read, the easier it is to read! And time spent reading the Book of Allah is never wasted.

Level 3 Introduction
In this workbook you will be learning how to talk about yourself, other people, families and possessions. This book requires you to do quite a bit of memorizing. The first thing youll be memorizing inshaAllah, singular (mufrad) and plural (jemu) of many words. In the Arabic language, a plural is made up of 3 or more things or people. Every noun (person, place, or thing), has a plural form. These plurals (jum u), for the most part must be memorized as we learn new vocabulary. So going forward, when a new word is introduced, its plural will also be introduced inshaAllah. Pronouns will also have a singular and plural form. The second thing youll be memorizing is pronoun forms like he and she or his and hers. When memorizing these word forms, it is important to be patient. Do not allow yourself to feel frustrated and do not ask too many questions. It is important to do the work of memorizing and wait and see the benefit later These plural forms are part of the beauty and eloquence of the Arabic language. When you begin to understand the Quran, then you will be happy that you took this time and effort to memorize, inshaAllah.

In Level 4, we will be learning the use of verbs to talk about the past, present and future. This will continue to increase your conversational skills as well as help you to understand the Quran, InshaAllah.
