arecentversionofamodernbrowser,suchasChrome,InternetExplorer,Firefox,orSafari,

andasetofheadphonesorearbudsforlisteningtothevideotutorialthatmustbeviewedbyeverytesttakerbeforebeginningthetest.Optionally,thevideotutorialcanbeshowntotheentireclassbytheproctor,allowingindividualtesttakerstoskipthevideoafterloggingin.Inthiscase,testtakerswouldnotneedheadphones.Buteitherway,thevideotutorialMUSTbewatchedbyeverystudentbeforestartingthetest!

Testtakerswillbeginwiththeloginpage,whichcanbeaccessedathttp://lexica.diglossia.net/home/ArabicInordertocompletetheloginprocess,testtakerswillneedtobegivenagroupcode,whichwillbeprovidedtoyourlocaltestadministratorbyDiglossia.Itcanbehelpfultowritethisgroupcodeontheboardsothatallthestudentsinthegroupcanseeitandenteritincorrectly.Don’tforgettochangethegroupcodeforthenextgroup,though.

StudentswillalsoneedtoknowtheirstudentIDnumbers.Ifyouareconcernedthatthestudents’actualstudentIDnumbersaretoolongforthemtoremember,youmayassigneachstudentashorteruniqueID#forusewiththeLexicatest,butthisID#mustbeatleast4characterslong(e.g.,1001,1002,etc.),anditwillbeyourresponsibilitytomaintainyourownrecordslinkingthisLexicaID#tothetesttaker’sactualstudentID#inyourStudentInformationSystem.

Oncethetesttakerhascompletedtheloginprocess,thevideotutorialpagewillbedisplayed.Iftheproctorhasalreadyshownthisvideotutorialtotheentireclass,thetesttakermayskipthevideobypressingthe“BeginTest”button.Eitherway,however,testtakersshouldNOTbeginthetestwithoutwatchingthevideotutorialfirst.Itwilltakeapproximately3minutestowatchthistutorial.

Oncethetutorialiscomplete,thetesttakershouldclickontheBeginTestbuttontostartthetest,whichshouldtakenomorethan6-8minutestocomplete.
