WELCOME VISITORS!! Thank You For Coming Today!!
Dearest Bell Avenue… What a WON-DERFUL past few days of brilliant sun-shine and mild temperatures!! Do Not Be
Deceived!! We can have a BLIZZARD in April!! I actually enjoy all of the differences in the Texas Panhandle weather!! I’m pretty much a “don’t get in a rut” kind of guy, so, all of the differences are just fine with me! I mentioned last week my gratitude for your prayers and concern for my sweet wife, Debbie. She is still improving every day! As of this writing, we still have not heard any pathology results, however, the Doctor said that everything looked fine when he did the surgery, so, we will continue to pray that the report confirms that things are good! THANK YOU, again, for your prayers!! By the way… HAVE YOU BEEN INVITING folks to come to worship?? REMEMBER!! THAT is the #1 Positive way to increase our attendance!! Let’s ALL invite someone this week!! Every few years I preach a lesson on our “GIVING!” Well, today is THAT day! Please notice how many times MON-EY is mentioned in the New Testament! It behooves me, as a preacher, to speak of it as well! Each of us, knows in our heart, if we are giving as we should, thus, TODAY, we examine our hearts and see if we are pleasing to God in this command! I love you each one and I am thrilled to be with you today! Dean
Sermon Outline
GOD'S WORD ABOUT YOUR MONEY
Mark 12:41-44
INTRO: (Ps.50:10) In Matthew, Mark, and Luke, 1 out of every 6 verses deals with money. Of the 29 parables Christ told, 16 deal with a person and his money. 1. Money Is Essential … 2. Money Is Overrated- Matt. 6:25-33 … 3. Money Can Be Used For Great Good- Lk. 10:30-37 … 4. Money Can Be Used For Great Evil- 1Tim. 6:10 … 5. Money Must Be Used Properly- Matt. 6:19-24 … 6. Money Must Be Used To Bring Glory To God- 1Cor. 10:31 …
WHEN WE GIVE… We Honor God… We Advance His Kingdom… We Demonstrate Faith In His Promises… We Expose Ourselves To His Blessings… And We Do Something In Which Everyone Can Partici-pate!!! 1. THE MATTER OF OUR GIVING- - V.41 … Jesus Cares
About Our Giving … God's Challenge In Our Giving (TITHE??) … God's Claim To Our Resources – REMEM-BER 100% belongs to God!! ARE WE LIVING OUR LIVES BY THIS PRINCIPLE?
2. THE MEASURE OF OUR GIVING- - Vs. 42-44 … We Are
To Give Proportionally- Mal. 3:8-10 YOU CAN NOT OUT-GIVE GOD!! … We Are To Give Regularly- 1Cor. 16:2 ->
EVERY FIRST DAY OF EVERY WEEK!!! 3. THE MOTIVE OF OUR GIVING Vs.41-44 … We Should
Give Thankfully – 2Cor. 9:10-12 … We Should Give Cheer-fully- 2Cor. 9:7 (“hilarious!”) … We Should Give Liberally- Lk. 6:38 spoon!! scoop!! shovel!! 2Cor. 9:6 … We Should Give Purposefully - 2 Cor. 9:7 … So then… when we give it should be “ON PURPOSE!”… NOT an after thought… NOT -> “OOPS! Here comes the collection plate… what kind of money do I have in my pocket???” NO… NO… it means that we have planned / purposed ahead of this time in our wor-ship and we give “not reluctantly or sorrowfully or under compulsion!” THIS Is The Kind Of Cheerful Giver That God Loves!!
CONCL: What is God's word about your money? That your money belongs to Him and that you will give an account as to how you use His money!

It is time to sign up to be a greeter for the months of February through March. It is a great opportunity to welcome our visi-tors and say hi to our members. The signup sheets are in the foyer.
Parents, please do not let your small chil-dren play with the automated door but-tons. Thank you.
Our next teaching quarter begins Sunday, March 5th. We are always in need of teachers. The curriculum that we use not only teaches a Bible story, but it gives ways to apply it to our lives. If you would like to help a child learn about God & Jesus and to put it to daily use, please see Sion.
2nd Sunday Fellowship Team will have a spaghetti lunch after morning services to-day. A signup sheet is on the foyer desk
3rd Sunday Fellowship Team will have a potluck dinner Sunday, February 19th fol-lowing morning services. A signup sheet is on the foyer table.
