Architect A. J. M. Alamgir was the Founder,Chief Adviser and Managing Director of Archetype Limited since 1987.He was member of the Institute of Architects Bangladesh(IAB).Architect Alamgir graduated Architecture from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology(BUET) in 1976 and Since Then Completed 373 Projects successfully. He was Specialized in handling Large Scale Projects. He passed away in 2015.

Archetype limited is a professional architectural and engineering consulting company with a wide range of Planning, Architectural and Engineering experiences. Our company provides expanded Architectural design knowledge and technical skills, support and commitment with the integrated team approach. The company, Archetype Limited, was founded in 1987. It was originally an architectural design consultancy firm; eventually has evolved and expanded over the time. Now we have the expertise and capability to provide a full range of services to our clients. These services include: preliminary feasibility studies and programming, schematic design, design development, contract document,tendering and construction administration; and finally post-construction services.We also provide interior design services, loose furniture design and graphic design (sign age). We seek to achieve the highest quality of architectural and complex engineering design and construction, executed within the constraints of budget and client's satisfaction.

Archetype Limited is accredited by the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) and Institution of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB).

Design philosophy

The principal motivation of the practice is to create elegant and innovative design that respond to each developments site constraints, operational, financial, sustainable and program requirements of the client. Design is generated by the needs of people, which are both material and spiritual, maintaining a concern forthe physical context and sensitivity to the culture and climate of place. Designers of Archetype Limited have always been guided by a belief that the quality of our surroundings has a direct influence on the quality of our works. The design and management of all projects, regardless of scale, complexity or building topology is approached with the values of simplicity, efficiency and reliability being its driving force. As Professionals we have a dual responsibility firstly to our clients we serve and secondly to the public realm who ultimately become the many users of our designs. The design of each new project is reviewed regularly, both formally and informally, so as to meet the projects primary purpose.

Bangladesh (FIAB). She has graduated in Architecture from Bangladesh University of

Engineering & Technology (BUET), Dhaka; Master of Philosophy in Architecture from

the University of New Castle Upon Tyne, UK. Post - Graduate Diploma in Housing for

Developing Countries from CARDO , UK. Post Graduate Diploma in LMISR from Erasmus

University, Rotterdam, Netherlands. Advanced International training on Architecture

and Development from he University of Lund, Sweden. Advanced International Training

on Housing and Development in Lusaka, Zambia.

Ar. Selina Afroza is specialized in building rules and regulations. Building codes,

Housing, Landscaping, Urban planning and Development and the former Additional

Chief Architect at Department of Architecture. Ministry of housing & public works,

Government of Bangladesh. Currently she Is the Head of Architecture Department at

Shanto - Mariam University of Creative Technology. Dhaka and President of women

Architects, Engineers, Planners Association (WAEPA),Bangladesh.

Managing Director and Chief Architect: Ar. Raihan Alamgir Lukan (AIA) (IAB)

Is one of the Directors at Archetype Limited Since 2002. He Graduated in

Architecture from Pratt Institute, New York, USA. He Is Specialized in Hospitality

Design and Currently Working as Project Manager and Design Architect. He was

the Assistant Architect in the mega project “Jamuna Future Park” & JW Marriot

Hotel Project (2008-2012). Architect Lukan Is the Member of American Institute of

Architects (AIA) And Institute of Architect Bangladesh (IAB) and have 7 Years

Work Experience in New York With Multi-Disciplinary Architectural Team. He Is

Expertise on Architectural Expansion Joint Detail, Exterior and Interior Coating,

Construction Chemicals, Accessible and Sustainable Design.

Director and Audio Consultant: Audio Engineer Johan Alamgir is one of the

Directors at Archetype Limited since 2002. He graduated Sound Engineering from

Full Sail University, Orlando, Florida, USA in 2012 and is practicing in Home and

Abroad.

Mechanical Engineer: Engr.Md. Fazlur Rahman (FIEB) is also one of the

founder members of Archetype Limited since the Company name transformed

from Archetype To Archetype Limited In 1990. He Graduated from BUET in 1979

and completed 258 Major Projects home and abroad successfully. Before joined

in Archetype Limited he had 10 Years of Overseas Experience (1980-1989) Doha-

Qatar. After becoming a member of the Archetype team, he was the Chief Project

Co-coordinator& Technical Advisor to Principal Consultant at Jamuna Future Park

Project (2002-2012) and many other Projects. He is specialized In Curtain Wall,

Elevators, Escalator, Conveyor Belts, Generator/Substation and HVAC System. He

Is Responsible for national and international code Control, Specification, Bid and

Tender Document. At Archetype He Also Reviews Fire Alarm System, Fire

protection System, Building and Construction Code, Design and Construction

Coordination for all major large scale projects.
