from a low-ling body of water into irrigation ditches.• Water is pumped by turning a screw-shape surface

insole a pipe• Also it is a devide of a tube bent specially around an

axis or of a board threaded screw cased by a cylinder and used to raise water

StructureThe archimedes screw consist of a screw (a helical surface surroundinga central cylindrical shaf) inside a hollow pipe. The screw is turned usually by windmill or by manuallabour• As the shaft turns, the bottom end scoops up a volume of water. This water

is then pushed up the tube by the roating helicoid until finally it pours out from the top of the tube. It is made, first by wood and then,by metal

• The slides inside the tube are roating spiral shaft, eventually expel toward the top of the tube

Where can we find it?• We can find it in a screw, drill,

auger, and system for give shape to the materials
