Introduction
• SMMCA is a college of architecture which offers degrees like B. Arch, M.
Arch, PhD Programs in multiple fields of areas of Architecture like
Planning, Urban Design, etc.
• SMMCA, under the ambit of WES (Women’s Education Society) offers a
safe, interactive and enriching environment for girls.
• SMMCA have started The Research and Publication Cell MIMANSA,
DOCUMENTATION CELL and DESIGN CELL.

Academics
• B.Arch: SMMCA offers a ten semester course in Architecture leading to the degree of
B.Arch. The Bachelor of Architecture course is approved by the council of Architecture,
New Delhi
• M.Arch: The college offers a full time two year post graduate program (four semesters)
in Architecture Education. The course is recognized by the Council of Architecture
(COA) and the Government of Maharashtra and affiliated to Rashtra Sant Tukdoji
Maharaj Nagpur University. (RTMNU).
• PhD: Smt. Manoramabai Mundle College of Architecture has been approved as a
Research Centre for Doctoral Studies by Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur
University, Nagpur and Council of Architecture, New Delhi. It offers Ph. D. programmes
in a wide range of areas of Architecture, Planning, Urban Design, etc.

Research
• MIMANSA - The Research & Publication Cell of SMMCA:
To encourage research and publish relevant and original research work, the institute has
started research and publication cell MIMANSA
• DOCUMENTATION CELL:
This cell has been established by the college for Heritage Conservation Committee of Nagpur
Municipal Corporation to document all listed heritage structures of Nagpur.
• DESIGN CELL: Design Cell is an activity of the institution with an aim to provide
students an opportunity to deal with live projects.

• S.M.M. College of Architecture spreading its wings under the banner of Women's Education
Society, added a feather to its cap in 2007 by introducing the Post Graduate Master's Program
(M.Arch) in Architecture Education.
• Vision:
To address the issues faced by Women Architects and to bring about a change in their lives
through networking and by providing opportunities to women for growth in their career
through a strong guidance mechanism.
To motivate Women Architects and explore their potential.
