FIRST SESSION: Making a reservatíon
1 Read aloud the reservation chart Altogether.Fill the exercise in order to recognise different situations, making a reservation .The new vocabulary should be written on the poster hung on the wall.

2 Now in pairs the students practise the dialogue . Later, they write the new words that have learnt on a poster hung on the wall, to be revised onwards.

SECOND SESSION: I´ll show you to your table
1 The students have learnt the firt steps to welcome the guests in the restaurant. 2 We repeat the same expressions used in Spanish, now in English. But first, we listen to 3 short dialogues:
3 The students remember words and expresions for different meals and write them on the blackboard in the corret place: breakfast, lunch or dinner

2 After listening, in pairs the students check the vocabulary and try to memorise and rehearse it as a role play.
3 In pairs, they analise and study expressions that should be memorised:Hello, my name is….Have you booked the table?Welcome to our restaurant. We are glad to…..Could you please follow me?/ I´ll show you to your tableCan I get your coats?Here is the menu and the wine list. Would you like an aperitif?What can I get you? Are you ready to order, sir/madam?Would you like to order some wine?How would you like your steak?

5 We continue with interaction.
In pairs they should fill the dishes for the 3 meals 6)The last 10 minutes are used to write on the blackboard all the new vocabulary and fixed expressions.
Then the students could watch a new video as a review of the session

THIRD SESSION: Are you ready to order?
1Listening of a dialogue of a waiter taking orders. We play it 3 times. First, we listen to it, and the students stand up and write on the blackboard what they have understood.
Then, the teacher projects the dialogue on the screen and everybody follows the listening, reading it at the same time.

Finally, in pairs, students invent questions and answer them. The teacher writes several examples on the board.
2Students try to memorise some part of it
and perform it in front of their partners.

3To enlarge their knowledge about international cuisine, in pairs they should agree in the solution of the following exercise:

FOURTH SESSION: I recommend
1Revision of expressions studied the day before, and use of them in contextualised sentences:It consists of…This is made from…It contains…It is served with…I recommend…
2With the following exercise, the students should get used to explaining the customers their questions about the charasteristics of the dishes served in the restaurant.

Once corrected, in pairs the students rehearse such dialogues
4)The teacher projects several images on the board. One of them should have a wide variety of ingredients. The others should show different sophisticated dishes. Then, students have to explain such dishes with the help of the teacher.
