argument research paper
TRANSCRIPT
Choose topic
Write the topic and the argument questions here.
What do you already know about this topic? Please be specific with examples. If you want to argue that lunch breaks should be longer, then tell us how long most lunch breaks are.
What are your own personal views on the topic? What do you believe?
Write 10 questions about the topic.
They first 9 should be simple yes/no/don’t know questions. This will make it easier for you to do a survey of other people to find out what they think. In the space underneath you will record how everyone answers the question. You can just list their name and then what they said.
The final question must be a more personal question so you will need to write down what they say and what they think on the topic.
You will ask these questions to 25 different people and record their opinions. For each person you ask you must record their name, their job, how old they are, and how you know them.
You can continue onto another piece of paper if you need to.

Do more people think one thing or the other? Do people agree or disagree?
Are there connections to people of the same age? Do they often think the same thing?
Are there any connections between people of the same job?
Are there connections between how someone knows you and what they think? Are family members or friends more likely to say the same thing?
What are the conclusions? What does everyone think?
