The New Combined Regulator

• HMRI is the industry health and safety regulator

• Merged into the Office of Rail Regulation in April 2006

• ORR is now the Economic and Health & Safety Regulator

• HMRI is still the front line field force for health and safety

• HQ 1 Kemble Street, London

• Inspectors in regional offices as before
