COMMENTS

On April 25, 2019, at 0900, ADEQ Solid Waste Inspector(s) met on-site with Environmental Managers, Julie Brimer and James Ellison, in response to a Spill Incident Report received by ADEQ. (Refer to attached Spill Incident Report.) The purpose of the site visit was to confirm the completed repairs to the ruptured leachate pipeline, which runs from the landfill leachate containment pond to the Evergreen Waste Water Treatment facility located at the main mill site. An approximate two (2) foot section of leachate pipe observed repaired. (Refer to Photos #1 & #2.) Leak GPS location was N34 13’30.18”, W91 55’ 44.38”, which is between railroad tracks and Paper Mill Road. According to Mrs. Brimer, all leachate was contained on paper mill property. Mrs. Brimer also stated she is going to contact ADEQ Office of Water Quality for any other instructions, or information, needed in regards to the leachate leak.
