ARM

Flow monitoring, suspended solids and water

quality of rivers, streams and channels

ARM is the first product of Extratech dedicated to remote monitoring of surface water and groundwater.

The combination of multiple sensors makes ARM a versatile monitoring system and extremely

configurable according to specific customer requirements.

With ARM you can handle both analog and digital sensors

and what makes this innovative system a useful garrison

and structural environmental safety, for example, you can

also check any rotations, movement or subsidence

of hydraulic infrastructures.

The measurement and monitoring kits can be fed from fixed

network to 230V or photovoltaic autonomous system (Optional)

for installation in the open field.

A modular and expandable hardware architecture makes ARM

a higher-level monitoring station with the best quality / price ratio

on the market.

ARM is controllable by the customer through a web platform and

also by smartphone through Android application. The measured

data is sent, via the integrated GPRS module, the web portal,

where the client can query the active monitoring system and

display measurements either in tabular format graph.

Turbidity probe for the measurement of suspended solids, available in a high or low turbidity version.

The probe for the high turbidity (mod. AT) using the method of the detection of the light reflected back by the

particles in suspension (back scattering). It is used an infrared light source so as to be independent of the

color of the sample. The light pulse, is sent through a lens in the sample, the light, reflected from the suspended

particles falls within the probe through a second lens and converted into a signal electric, according to the

concentration and the particle surface.

For measurement applications in clean water, or at least a little murky, it is recommended to use the BT version

This type of sensor uses the nephelometric method according to ISO 7027, and can be used for both

applications in the pipe and underwater. The turbidity measurement is carried out by the method of diffusion

light operated by suspended particles in the sample. A beam of light is sent into the sample through a window

transparent to the wavelength used. The proportion of light scattered with an angle of 90° from particles

suspended in the sample falls within the probe through a second optical window.

DR sensor (Discharge Radar ) is designed for non-contact flow measurement, with radar technology.

The measurement of the flow is obtained by the combination of distance measurement of the speed of

superficial flow, with the principle of the Doppler frequency change and the measured level through the flight

times of the emitted signal. Via the management software, with which will fit the physical characteristics of the

section of the river bed or channel, the water flow is calculated in real time.

The absence of contact of the sensors with the water, minimizes the cleaning and maintenance operations,

and at the same time you avoid the possible damage that the materials transported by the flood could bring to

submerged probes.
