ALMONER'S REPORT(Cedric Gould)

Elaine Kovkin will be going home on Saturday, after her stay in hospital. She has to keep off her leg for

six weeks, to enable the  fracture to heal properly.

If you know of a member who is unwell or in hospital please contact me on 950 98930.

BOARD OF MANAGEMENT REPORT

GRAND FINAL - HISTORY TO BE MADE?

Our own GRAND FINAL week is like many Septembers (90 to be precise!) rolled into one. We look forward to a

wonderful day and many Armadale Shirts and cheers. Celebrations at Burden Park will follow.  

For anyone unable to attend, TEAMAPP will be updated regularly during the afternoon.

Inter-Maccabi Bowls Challenge - April 2 – postponed.

Due to a clash of dates with many community activities this will be deferred.

The exciting event to bring all sports people together in friendly competition will be held on a suitable date

between their Winter and Summer sports.  We will advise everyone of the rescheduled date.   

Proceeds from our Giant Sale and Charity Night

Two $1000 cheques have now each been forwarded to Prostate and Ovarian Cancer research.  We can be very proud

of our fund-raising efforts from our fun BBQ and Bowls night, plus the Giant Sale.  Our contributions will support

these very stark statistics:      

1550 women are diagnosed and around 1200 die from Ovarian cancer each year

         18,138 men are diagnosed and around 4,000 deaths from Prostate cancer in 2016. 

The remaining funds collected – $1500 – will be allocated to a Junior Bowls Development Program. We will review

the best opportunities from within Bowls Australia and other clubs leading the way.

Our innovation and combined efforts are our Club’s strength.

THE HEART ATTACK

A blonde gets home from work early & hears strange noises coming from the bedroom. She rushes upstairs only to find her husband naked lying on the bed, sweating and panting.

'What's up?' she asks. 'I think I'm having a heart attack,' - cries the husband.. 

The blonde rushes downstairs to grab the phone, but just as she's dialling, her four-year-old son comes up and says, Mummy, Mummy, Aunty Shirley is hiding in the wardrobe, and she has no clothes on 

The blonde slams the phone down and storms back upstairs into the bedroom right past her husband.. Rips open the wardrobe door and sure enough, there is her sister, totally naked and cowering on the floor. 'You rotten Bitch', she screams. 

'My husband's having a heart attack, and you're running around naked, playing hide and seek with the kids!!'
