ACC provides responsive, innovative and efficient procurement solutions to enable the Army’s global warfighting dominance. As a major subordinate command of the Army Materiel Command, ACC is a two-star command with Soldiers, civilians and contractors who support Soldiers worldwide by acquiring equipment, supplies and services vital to our Soldiers’ mission and well-being.

ACC is headquartered at Redstone Arsenal, Ala., with two subordinate one - s t a r commands , t h e E x p e d i t i o n a r y Contracting Command (also headquartered at Redstone Arsenal) and the Mission and Installation Contracting Command (headquartered at Fort Sam Houston, Texas). Five major contracting centers provide support to AMC’s life cycle management commands and major subordinate commands.

The major contracting center locations are:

ACC - Aberdeen Proving Ground, Aberdeen ProvingGround, Md.

ACC - New Jersey, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J.

ACC - Redstone, Redstone Arsenal, Ala.

ACC - Rock Island, Rock Island Arsenal, Ill.

ACC - Warren, Warren, Mich.

In fiscal year 2012, the command awarded more than 228,000 contracts valued at $74 billion. This contribution was nearly 69 percent of the Army’s contract dollars and 15 percent of the total dollars spent on contracts by the entire federal government. ACC accomplishes these actions with more than 6,500 military and civilian employees at more than 100 locations worldwide.

Expeditionary Contracting Command

The ECC provides essential contracting support to the Army and other defense organizations at installations outside of the continental United States. It also provides expeditionary contracting services during military and humanitarian operations to support the war fighter. ECC has seven contracting support brigades, eight contingency contracting battalions and 83 contingency teams throughout the world.

Mission & Installation Contracting Command

The MICC provides contracting support for the war fighter across military commands, installations, and activities located throughout the continental United States. The MICC has four

field directorate offices and 35 contracting offices throughout the country.

Armyhire.com www.armyhire.com is ACC’s commercial recruiting website that spearheads its recruitment initiatives. It provides a plain language introduction to the jobs and benefits available throughout the command. It also promotes overseas assignments and positions, since those are frequently the hardest to fill. The main audiences for Armyhire.com are non-governmental contracting professionals, college graduates and current government contract engineering professionals.
