This side of the Aroa Lagoon Marine Reserve
tends to have the smaller colourful fish such as
Butterfly Fish (Taputapu), Parrot Fish (U’u) & Sunset
Wrasses (Karore).
A good area for sighting the shy
Octopus (Eke) in their holes or the Moray Eels (A’a Pata) surveying the reef. Look under coral heads to see the rare Emperor Angel Fish
(Taputapu)!
