ARRANGING 1 MIDTERM PROJECT 30PTS Each10 Notation/Neatness
Ron Reid
Example #1 R&B
The melody and guitar parts are already recorded on you garage band sequence. Add bass (4-string bass) and drum parts that would complement the guitar and
melody parts on the score. Work with the sounds chosen. You can add some effects if you can inprove the
overall sound of the finished product.
Observe the tempo marking.
(Use the guitar comping rhythm as a guide to write your bass and drum groove. A guide does not mean it has to be the same.)
Print score in landscape format and neatly notate your bass and drum parts.
Loop your sequence 4Times and save as MP3 and send to me. Clearly label your version as everyone is doing the same examples.
Turn in your score in class
Example #2 BOSSA
