Hello and a warm welcome supporters and friends of South Downe Musical Society.

It has been a pleasure to direct this fabulous cast in the classic 1943 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical ‘Oklahoma!’. Having appeared in the show three times myself it has been wonderful to sit on the other side of the footlights.

SDMS shows are brought together by a team of unpaid volunteers and I would like to express my utmost thanks to them all particularly Kate Walsh, Assistant Director and choreographer and Kim Joyce Stage Manager and advisor and of course the wonderful musical direction of Alan Pring, who leaves us after many, many years of devoted service to the company. I for one will miss him terribly having worked together for nearly thirty years.

An enormous thank you also to Ferneham Hallanditsstaff.Ithasbeenourhomeformany years. We will miss you and hope to be back after the planned refurbishment.

Please sit back and enjoy this joyous piece of traditional musical theatre.
