    Year11–TrialExamandExternallysetAssignment• Thetrialexaminationgivesstudentstheopportunitytobecomefamiliarwiththeprocessofdevelopingaunitofworkindependentlyandworkinginexam

    conditions.• TheexternallysetexaminationisissuedafterJanuarywhenstudentsareinyear11.Studentsdevelopanindependentprojectrespondingtotheirchosen

    theme,usingtheskillsand techniquestheyhavedevelopedovertheprevioustwoyears.Preparatoryworkisproducedintherunuptoa10hoursexaminwhichstudentsproducetheirfinalpiece.

    Plusaselectionofworkundertakenduringthecourse

    • 40%=Componenttwo:Externallysetassignment(CompletedinYear11)

    Youwillrespondtoyourchosenstartingpointfromanexternallysetassignmentpaper,evidencingcoverageofallfourassessmentobjectives.

    Youwillhaveapreparatoryperiodfollowedby10hoursofsupervisedtime,duringwhichyouwillhavetocompleteyourfinalpiece
