This is a painting I did of a farm stand last year. It is a recreation of an original picture with a few tweaks. From the old picture a new background and differentvegetables were drawn. In this photo, I am holding a photocopy of the original painting.

This is a picture I drew of one of my closest friends and me when we were younger. In it we are at the boating section of the camp we work at together. This piece is still a work in progress.

This was a fun end-of-year project my art class and I did last year. We drewon white shoes with different colored Sharpies, then bled the color with alcohol. I had a little too much fun coloring my shoes here…

This is one of three lamps that I redecorated. I had always thought abouthow cool reading lamps made from the pages of a book would look, and when I found three mismatched lamps at a furniture consignment store, I couldn’t resist.I began by spray painting the bases white, then I decorated the lamp shades with book pages, pearls, book page roses and book page sunflowers. The finished product was a set of three shabby-chic lamps that I currently use for reading!

This is my largest painting, and the one that took longest to paint. Beinga perfectionist does have its downfalls, but overall the piece turned out great! I painted this painting of a lily in the 7th grade.

This is a winter scene I painted in the 6th grade. It was one of the first paintings I did. At the time my favorite part of creating it was using a toothbrush to fling paint on it to create a snowing effect.

This is a reproduction of a photo of a monarch butterfly sitting on a lilac. My mother took this photo, and in 7th grade I decided to recreate it using acrylics andtissue paper. The crumpled paper resembles the 3D look-and-feel of the lilac, and thebutterfly was painted with vibrant acrylic colors.

This is the first painting I ever did in my extracurricular art class. It has an angledperspective of a red barn and a white house. Because it was my first painting it took me nearly as long as my lily painting to complete! The worst part was paintingdozens of puny windows on the houses, which I wasn’t satisfied with until they were perfect.

This is a contemporary piece I made at home.I created it by drawing a tree on the back of a canvas and then I cut it out. After a coat of black spray paint it looked like something out of aHalloween movie.
