“ The Art Corridor” Inauguration was held on 15th July 2011 between 18:00-18:30 hrs.

The art corridor is a permanent art gallery

at the hotel

The corridor just next to the hotel lobby is

converted to an art gallery where creative

paintings of contemporary artists are exhibited for sale.

27 paintings of 19 artists have been exhibited at the gallery. The paintings communicate different themes and are done in different

medium

Few Exhibits at the Art Corridor

This non-profit endeavor is a part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of the hotel and Palette People. The proceeds from this sale of art works will go into supporting emerging artists, The United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and other charitable

organizations.

Austin Konchira, Biju Kumar V.K, Mani Kakkara, P. R Sathish, Surendran P.K are few contemporary artists whose creative works are exhibited at the corridor.

“ Lighting the lamp” ceremony during the inaugural function.

“We are utilizing the corridor just next to the lobby so that the creative art works are identified by the guests coming to the hotel and we are pleased to take this initiative forward to support charitable institutes and UNICEF” says Mr. Rajesh Madan, General Manager, Le Méridien Kochi.
