ELLEN As the male equivelant of the ‘little black dress’, the SUIT JACKET will never fall out of fashion. What started as an item reserved only for formal affairs, the suit has sneaked its way into more casual occasions, whilst still maintaining its sophisticated finish. From the CLASSIC TUX which wrapped around the iconic actors of the Hollywood Golden Years to the CONTEMPORARY BLAZERS worn by the gangsters of the cult mafia films of the 80’s and 90’s. Whichever you decide to wear; make sure it suits your mood...

‘Always dress your best; you never know who you might meet’ my mother told me once as she smeared on her crimson lipstick and fluffed up her hair. Since then, I’ve always put my make-up on in the morning before making breakfast and have always worn clothes which I’d not blush over if I bumped into my future husband in the street. So when I saw that our favourite designers had also taken this advice, I was more than excited. Spring/ Summer saw the neccessity of dressing to impress and not just after working hours. There was a strong battle between what one would wear to work and what you’d slip into for that long awaited garden party. Work wear turned glamorous for Balenciaga, Philip Lim and Chloe while the romantic designers such as Caro-lina Herrera, Etro and Elie Saab focused on embracing fairytale dresses for the summer. Without fail, all designers managed to cover every minute of a woman’s day with something sophisticated and feminine reminding us that style is always essential.

The KooplesWarren and Margaux are the stars of The Kooples website with a collection of grayscale photographs and videos clips taken by the couple during thier trips and playtime. The images are raw and spontaneous which capture the couple’s artistic relationship and indie feel of the brand. The combination of portraits and detailed images gives the brand an edge and seperates it from its more commercial competitors ●
