Everybody was out and

took photographs.It is

unbelievable because in

Agrinio it was

unexpected to snow.

Last time it snowed, it was in 1987! Still, there were some problems.

The snowfall caused water cuts, traffic jams and slippery roads. The

temperature dropped to almost -10°C!

Icy temperatures and heavy snowfall have inflicted the

European continent last weekend. Blizzards afflicted

unexpected places in Greece, too. Even Agrinio was under

heavy snow warning after many decades.

In very short time the city was covered with snow. Children didn’t miss the

opportunity to go outside to play with snow, despite of the bitter cold. The

possibility of closed schools made them extremely active.

However, there were consequences, too. Freezing

temperatures caused slippery roadways. A lot of

villages were cut off from the rest of the country,

while many houses remained without electricity for

hours.

Most of the residents of Agrinio enjoyed the snow very much, as the children did!!!

They finally faced a “white” day!!!

A MYSTERIOUS BLIZZARD HITS AGRINIO

On Saturday an unexpected blizzard hit Agrinio.

At first, the residents in the city were happy because of the snow.

In Agrinio it has not snowed since 1987!

The snow excluded many people.

A lot of houses had a power cut.

Many people were cut off and they struggled to be freed.

On the slippery road it was very hard to walk or do anything else.

Fortunately, people achieved to deal with the heavy snowstorm.

Snowstorm hits Agrinio

Icy temperatures across Europe blanketed even Agrinio in snow during the

weekend.

The residents woke up and saw snow-blanketed city. Everyone was happy and

the childrenmade snowmen and played snowfight.

However, the snowfall was heavy and caused a lot of problems. The freezing

temperature made the roads slippery, so there were traffic jams.

Also, problems were caused with the water supply around the city.

Fortunately, things are better now.

Does in Snow in Agrinio?

A few days ago, on Saturday 2017, it started snowing in Agrinio. The people of Agrinio

were surprised because it hasn’t snowed for almost thirty years!

All the people went out and enjoyed the snow. Children and adults played snowwar,

made snowmen and took photographs of the snowy landscape, However, there was a

negative side, too. The temperature dropped below zero, water froze and some people

did not have water. Also, the roads were slippery and there were traffic jams.

Unexpected snowfall in Agrinio

On previous Saturday, an unexpected event took place in Agrinio. Heavy

snowstorm hit the city after thirty years. Icy spells gripped all around us

and everything became white from snow.

The kids were overjoyed and played in the snow. They played games such

as snowfall fight and made snowmen. However, the snowfall caused many

problems. It was very cold and the roads were slippery. Furthermore,

freezing temperature caused problems with the water supply.

White Day in Agrinio

In Agrinio, the snowfall is very unusual. This year, in 2017, we had a

white day at Christmas.

In Agrinio it snowed again in 1981.

The roads were slippery and the temperature dropped below zero.

The residents in Agrinio enjoyed and played with the snow and all of

us were happy about this.

Heavy snowfall covers Agrinio

It’s been over 10 years since the last time it snowed in Agrinio. Still yesterday

Agrinio’s residents woke up in a snow covered city which took them by surprise.

As it was expected, children were overjoyed and played in the snow all day long.

They were taking photos in the snow, they were making snowmen and they were

throwing snowballs to each other.

Though, it was not all fun. There were many bad consequences that caused many

problems. The roads were slippery, there were traffic jams, the temperatures

dropped below zero and there were many power cuts all over Agrinio.

Fortunately, it only lasted two days and after that, everything went back to

normal.

Many people struggle to deal with the snow

In Greece the snow arrived in villages and small towns like my town Agrinio. The

temperature dropped below zero resulting in freezing roads and cars. But there

was a positive side, too. Children went out, started playing with the snow and

took photos. It was snowing from 10 am till 12 pm at noon

Many people tried to save their crops from the ice which was caught on the

trees. Also, many trees fell down and broke from the winds that has the ice

with the fruit trees. In the north of Greece, the temperature dropped so much

and the schools are still frozen. Probably this winter will be the coldest!!!
