It is important for you to know the gender of a noun when learning a foreign language, because: • it is a vital part of the word, and always included with
the word itself, and
• The adjectives that describe the noun, change with the gender.

Nouns and pronouns in Spanish are divided into genders. Nouns for men and boys are masculine. Nouns for women and girls are feminine.
