A native of New York and a career diplomat since 1992, Mr. Ranz is the Consul General of the United States of America in Mumbai. A member of the Senior Foreign Service, Mr. Ranz previously served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South Asia (India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Maldives) in the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs; and as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Pakistan. Prior to that, Mr. Ranz was Director of the Office of Pakistan Affairs. Mr. Ranz’s previous assignments include Chargé d’Affaires, a.i., Acting Deputy Chief of Mission, and Counselor for Political Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, Egypt; and Spokesman and Counselor for Public Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq. Mr. Ranz has also served in Rabat, Morocco; Jerusalem; and Karachi, Pakistan.

Mr. Ranz was the 2004 recipient of the U.S. Department of State’s Herbert Salzman Award for International Economic Performance, and 2013 runner-up for the James Clement Dunn Award for Excellence. Mr. Ranz has also received six State Department Superior Honor Awards, and a U.S. Department of the Army Commander’s Award for Public Service from General (ret.) David Petraeus. Mr. Ranz graduated summa cum laude from Yale University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, and received a Master in Public Policy degree from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University in 2005. Mr. Ranz is married to Taly Lind, a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Agency for International Development, and has two children. He speaks Arabic, French, and Hebrew.

Keynote Address: Humane and Ethical Dimensions of AI and Robotic Process Automation

Dr. Paritosh C Basu presently is a full time Senior Professor of the NMIMS University School of Business Management, Mumbai and engaged in several research and consulting activities. His current areas of research include professional scepticism, blockchain, artificial intelligence and digital transformation. He has recently chaired the World Blockchain Summits held in Moscow and Dubai.

He holds a post graduate degree in Commerce and was awarded Ph. D. on 'Transfer Pricing' by the Calcutta University in 1999. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, and a life member of the Computer Society of India.

Dr. Basu has served Indian corporate houses for about thirty-four years. His last two engagements of over eleven years in large Indian MNCs were that of the CFO and Global Group Controller. His experience in corporate spans over a wide spectrum of functional areas, across continents and countries:

• Corporate finance, treasury, strategic planning and controlling, accounting and reporting under IGAAP and IFRS, risk enabled performance management, due diligence, governance, management audit, etc. in MNC and conglomerate environment,

• Mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, IPO and listing in overseas and domestic stock exchanges, FCCBs and other overseas loan market transactions;

• Extensive IT enablement of operations, accounting and reporting with multiple systems development and integration, establishment of paper-less shared services centre, etc.; and

• Teaching, corporate training, mentoring, knowledge management, MDPs, consulting and advisory services.

• Recent empirical research work is on 'Professional Scepticism of Statutory Auditors' jointly with two Professors of Macquarie University of Australia.

• Published two research papers on Blockchain Technology and delivered ten lectures on Blockchain and digital transformation some which are available in YouTube.

Dr. Basu is associated with management education and training for about twenty-nine years. He was a regular visiting faculty member of the Indian Institute of Social Welfare & Business Management, Kolkata and NMIMS, Mumbai for about six years each while serving Corporates.

He has conducted numerous training programmes, for Professional Institutes, Universities, IIM, Chambers of Commerce and Corporate Houses. He has presented and published score of papers and research work, interviews, case-studies, conducted workshops, master classes both in international and national level summits, conferences and conventions. He has also participated in many programmes of national level electronic media.

Dr. Basu was a member of the Research Committee of Central Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in 2010-11 and 2012-13 and a member of its Jury Committee in 2012 for selection of awardees for best CAs. Presently he is a member of the HR Committee of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Advisory Board of The Entrepreneurship School, Delhi. • Started the treatment of Refractory Vaginismus with Botox Injections under GA with satisfactory results.Having treated young patients with unconsummated marriage due to the refractory entity , has been involved in spreading awareness amongst the Gynaeccologists and General practice. Botox for refractory vaginismus has completed clinical trails with the US-FDA and is awaiting approval .

• Started the Multidisciplinary Management of Gender Reassignment at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.Involved in reconstructive urology of Genital work in the select group he has been involved in both male to female and female to male genital reassignment of Transgender population over past 5 years.

• Having trained in Italy with Dr Guido Barbagli and in Germany with Dr Margit Fisch he has been at the forefront of urethral stricture surgeries from Substitution urethroplasty to anastomotic urethroplasty for complex urethral strictures in workshops and at the Kokilaben hospital.

• In the art of Penile disassembly, he has been able to take complex reconstruction of Epispadias, Hypospadias, Peyronie’s disease and various penile deformities by the way of corporoplasty and combined genital-urethral management in needed cases.He pioneers this technique at KDAH in the country.

• He has special interest in Vesico-vaginal fistulae repair, Augmentation cystoplasty, Rectovaginal fistulae, Penile curvatures and Phalloplasty all being complex reconstructive urology with state of art results

• He is working on Interstitial cystitis- Bladder Pain syndrome from multidisciplinary medical management to minimally invasive management and endstage bladders needing substitution cystoplasty and is on awareness drive for the same disabling and progressive disease across the country and in Asia Pacific

Applications of AI in Automotive Industry

Dr. Ajinkya Bhave serves as the Country Head at Siemens Engineering Services (India), part of the Digital Industries Software (DI SW) business unit, where he leads multiple teams in the areas of control systems and machine learning, multi-physics simulation, and computational fluid dynamics.

Ajinkya has a Ph.D. in Systems and Control, an M.S. in Robotics from the Robotics Institute, and an M.S. in ECE, all from Carnegie Mellon University. As part of his responsibilities at Siemens ES, he has managed and executed multiple projects in the areas of autonomous driving (AD), machine learning (ML), and automotive control. He has also served as a member of the steering committee for AD and ML development at Siemens DI SW.

Ajinkya was research faculty at Carnegie Mellon before joining Siemens, as well as being a founding member of the Robotics Research Lab at IIIT Hyderabad. He is also a recipient of the NASA Group Achievement Award for the “Spaceward Bound 2006 Expedition: Chile”, as a member of autonomous rover team from Carnegie Mellon.

In a career spanning 28 years, Rajesh has led large and diverse global program and initiatives across various organizations. As part of the senior management team, in many ways, Rajesh has been part of Tech Mahindra’s transformation journey, where he has contributed significantly to the company's strategy and business growth.

Rajesh holds a Bachelor in Engineering – Electronics and Telecommunications from University of Mumbai. He has done Management Development Program from Harvard Business School and from Ross Business School, Michigan University. Rajesh has completed his Masters in Marketing Management Graduate from Mumbai.

Rajesh heads up the Data and Analytics Business Unit globally for Tech Mahindra and also heads up the British Telecom engagement for Tech Mahindra. A large team of Business unit heads, Client Partners, Country Managers and Sales team reports to Rajesh and provides IT Applications, Infrastructure Services, BPO services and Consulting services, across regions. Prior to becoming head of Data & Analytics business, Rajesh was heading strategic business unit of APAC and was responsible for customer’s growth across APAC region across BFSI, Manufacturing, Retail-CPG, Healthcare-Life Sciences and Travel-Logistics verticals.

Rajesh came to his present role six years ago, after a brief stint as Global Sales Officer (GSO) at Capgemini. He had previously worked at Tech Mahindra for six years in strategic management roles. In the past, he has held various senior positions with many of the multinationals like Capgemini, BCGI, Comverse, Tata, , Global Tele-systems and Hughes Network Systems and was based out of the India and Europe.

Sudipta has more than 20 years of consulting experience in the field of Data & Analytics and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM). Sudipta is currently the Data and Analytics leader responsible for defining the product/solution strategy, go to market initiatives and incubating differentiated solutions from an industry perspective at PwC India. Additionally, Sudipta has responsibilities in the Industrial Products, Pharma and Govt sector which includes market development along with execution responsibilities.

Sudipta has wide experience in managing and architecting complex large scale Data Analytics and EPM implementations in industry sectors like FMCG, Retail, Telco, Auto, Oil and Gas, Pharmaceuticals and Metals in a number of functional areas like Marketing, Operations, Finance and Human Resources.

Sudipta has been instrumental in successfully setting up the Analytics practice at PwC focusing around industry solutions and implementing analytical models. Sudipta was responsible for building the Corporate Performance Management (CPM) competency which involved providing solutions for the office of the CFO around Financial Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting and Consolidation.
