  • General Information 7Notes 1.1

General Information 0 There must be a note referring to the installation and delivery conditions of the Med

group on all construction plans produced by the Planning Departments. The installation and delivery conditions must be enclosed with the plans when shipped.

The requirements of the relevant fire protection regulations must be observed for the premises.

The system was developed in accordance with IEC 60 601-1 The system does not meet the requirements for AP Classification. Use in areas with

explosive atmospheres as defined by IEC 610-1, Main Section 6, is not permitted. The AXIOM Artis OR patient table is splash-proof (IPX4 according to IEC 60 601-2-46). Unless otherwise stated, all dimensions in this document are in mm.

Definition of Terms 0Technically possible area, orientation points, etc. Technically possible area, minimum length, minimum width

The technically possible area is a rectangle formed by the required minimum length and width representing the space required for a system component. The following stipula-tions apply for the technically possible area: a) It is the smallest area that will not require limitations in device movements.b) Unless otherwise specified, the area may not fall below this value.c) It includes the necessary safety clearances (caution: national regulations may devi-

ate from this value);d) It includes the service areas for the unit;e) The required areas for unimpeded examination and operational processes, as well

as the footprint required for the control cabinets are not taken into account;f) Illustration: In the overhead views in this PG, the technically possible area is repre-

sented by a dot and dash line rectangle.

  • 8 General InformationFig. 3: Fixpoints

Clearly designated points on system components, installation ceiling, walls or floors at which cable outlets are located. Illustration in the drawings: circle with letter / number combination.

Fig. 4:The cable lengths determine the maximum fixpoint distances, and thus the maximum distances between the individual system components.

Room heightThe room height is the clear space measured from the top edge of the finished floor to the bottom edge of the ceiling substructure (bottom edge of the finished ceiling).

  • 10 Room Planning

    2- 2Room PlanningGeneral Information 0

Product-specific Information 0 Plan the control room at the foot end of the patient table (optimum visual contact to the

examination room). Plan the size and location of the radiation protective window so that the examination

room can be clearly viewed from the control room. Plan the entrance area as shown. Plan the equipment room to the left of the examination room. If possible, do not plan the generator and cooling unit in the examination room (because

  • 16 Room PlanningSystem with a second DCS Option 2.3In addition to the existing DCS (1st DCS), in the future it will be possible to operate a sec-ond, optional DCS.Note the following for planning:

    For new plan-ning:

The 1st DCS (max. 8 TFT monitors) should be planned longitudinally to the table.

The 2nd DCS (max. 3 TFT monitors) should be planned transversely to the table.

For a retrofit: The 1st DCS (max. 8 TFT monitors), if installed transversely to the table, should be planned longitudinally to the table. If already installed longitudinally, nothing changes.

The 2nd DCS (max. 3 TFT monitors) should be planned transversely to the table, as with new planning.

    The following applies:

    1. DCS longitudinally, 2nd DCS transversely to the table

    Limitation for 2nd DCS:

A max. of only 3 monitors can be installed. Bypass images cannot be displayed and data display is not released. AXIOM Artis FC/FA AXA4-100.891.01.06.02 Siemens01.08 CS CD AX

Max. admissible Floor Unevenness 0The maximum admissible floor unevenness of the base floor in the cross-hatched area is 8 mm.The cross-hatched area represents the rotation area of the stand and the movement range of the C-Arm.

*1 The MULTISPACE.F option enables manual turning of the stand about rotation point A. Within the turning range, the stand can lock in at 6 increments; motorized device movements can then be performed as long as the distance to the wall is at least 500 mm. Entering the room size into the system configuration during system start-up ensures that motorized movements will be blocked if this minimum dis-tance is not met.The technically possible manual rotation range with the MULTISPACE.F option is +60/-220.With a specified room width of 5930 mm, the rotation range is limited by the room with to -110. Versions 0There are 4 different versions of the Artis patient table that can be shipped:

    1. Basic Table2. Peri table (like the basic table with additional motorized longitudinal movement of the

tabletop)3. Tilting table (like the Peri table with an additional tilting function in longitudinal direction)4. OR table (like the tilting table with an additional tilting function in transverse direction)The Artis patient tables all have the same exterior dimensions.

Notes regarding the OR table 0 An additional control cabinet (SC2) is shipped with the OR table. The cabinet primarily

contains the motor controller. Unlike other Artis patient tables, the motor controller can-not be installed in the table base, as this would limit the tilting and canting movement functions..

The OR table is splash-proof (IPX4 according to IEC 60 601-2-46). Use in the operating room

If the table is to be used for surgical interventions, according to IEC 60 601-2-46 it also has to be able to operate even in the event of a power failure. In this case, system con-trol cabinet SC1 has to be connected to an on-site uninterruptible power supply (UPS) . Since all system components, with the exception of the generator, are supplied power via the control cabinet, the units, image system, etc. remain operational even in the event of a power failure. • System Connections 75Laying Cables 4.3Notes: Lay cables/wiring harnesses separately in conduits or in closed cable channels. If laying in open cable channels, lay cables separately using metal dividers or a similar

device. The cable channel depth should be at least 70 mm; if there are cross-overs, it may be

necessary to provide for greater depth.

Calculating the Required Cable Channel Cross Section 0The total of the cross sections of the cables/wiring harnesses present should apply for all cable channel/conduit cross sections. The individual cross sections can be taken from the cable list. The required fill factor are already included in this. If excess cable lengths are to be stored in the cable channels, this must be taken into account when sizing.

    Remarks regarding Laying Cables 0

Laying excess cable lengths: in the cable cabinet (option; service friendly) in cable channels (take note of accessibility) in ceiling/wall boxes (take note of accessibility) under computer flooring (service friendly)The following must be observed:Cable coils are not allowed!Siemens AXA4-100.891.01.06.02 AXIOM Artis FC/FA01.08 CS CD AX
