With the help of plastic injection technology we developed a lighting collection which, through its ribs combined with the geo-metrical form, immerses us in a world of dreams.

Una forma espacial, pero cercana y po-sible, que nos emociona y con la que nos identificamos, a través de lo extraordina-rio y fantástico. A través de la tecnología de inyección de plástico se consigue una familia de luminarias que a través de sus lamas, combinadas de forma geométrica, nos sumergen en un mundo onírico.

Arturo Álvarez is an established creator, recognized in Spain and out of its borders for his conceptual contributions to the lighting design in the world. His work has a recognizable own style, of strong personality. In the past few years he has been doing an exhaustive work of experi-mentation and research, developing his proprietary materials.

He manipulates with skill, forms, volumes and sources of light, in a simple but elegant way, conceiving in the spaces surprising pop-up lighting installations. Energy saving and LED lighting are increasingly present in his work.

The recognition of more than 20 years of career come with two consecutive awards “Good Design”, in 2008 for Gea and in 2009 for Fluo, gave by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design. In 2013 in Las Vegas they gave him the HD Product Design Competition Award inLighting category.

Bety one of his most emblematic designs, is at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Barcelona.

Arturo Álvarez es un consolidado creador reconocido tanto dentro como fuera de España, por sus aportaciones conceptuales al mundo de la iluminación de diseño. Su trabajo posee un estilo propio y reconocible, de fuerte personalidad. En los últimos años viene realizando una labor exhaustiva de experimentación e investigación desarro-llando sus propios materiales. Maneja con soltura formas, volúmenes y fuentes de luz de una forma sencilla y elegante, llegando a concebir en los espa-cios montajes lumínicos y escenográficos sorprendentes. El ahorro energético y la iluminación LED están cada vez más pre-sentes en su trabajo.

Los reconocimientos a más de veinte años de carrera llegan con dos premios consecu-tivos “Good Design”, en 2008 por el diseño Gea y en 2009 por Fluo, concedidos por The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architec-ture and Design. Y en 2013 en las Vegas le otorgan el HD Product Design Competition Award en la categoría Iluminación.

Bety uno de sus diseños más emblemáti-cos, está en el Museo de las Artes Decorati-vas de Barcelona.

Arturo Alvarez has been developing for some years now a deep and extense work in materials. Exploring the possibilities of eve-ryday elements by decontextualizing and giving them new uses. On the other hand, he has developed proprietary materials. After two years of investigation he creates and patents SIMETECH®. This material gives a warm light, it has chiaroscuro areas, it allows textures and various different volumes, and it is made in five colors.

Today he follows a work path, with an innovative and recycla-ble material with extraordinary characteristics of resistance and flame retardant. Available in a variety of bright and natural colors.

Arturo Álvarez lleva años desarrollando un trabajo profundo y extenso en materiales. Explora las posibilidades de elemen-tos cotidianos descontextualizándolos y otorgándoles nuevos usos. Por otra parte, desarrolla materiales propios. Después de dos años de investigación crea y patenta SIMETECH®. Este material aporta una luz cálida, posee zonas de claroscuros, permite texturas y volúmenes muy diferentes y se elabora en cinco colores.

En la actualidad sigue una línea de trabajo, con una materia prima innovadora y reciclable, con características extraordina-rias de resistencia y flamabilidad. Disponible en una variedad de colores alegres y naturales.
