Elmar’s in the Valley is Perth’s biggest German establishment and one of the best restaurants in the Swan Valley, owned and operated by Elmar and Anette Dieren who

migrated to Australia from Germany in 1987. With them they brought German machinery, knowledge, experience and a passion for fine food and smallgoods production. Following the success of two smallgoods stores in Highgate and Myaree, Elmar’s in the Valley opened in 2005, and quickly became one of the

top breweries in the Swan Valley.

Incorporating Elmar’s passion for quality smallgoods and traditional beers, with Anette’s love of fine food, Elmar’s in the Valley was born and nurtured to be a

place to enjoy quality products in a relaxed, casual environment. It is now one of the must see venues in the Swan Valley. We are also one of the top destinations during

Oktoberfest, celebrating our German heritage whilst being adorned by our love of the Australian Outback, typically known as our Biergarten – our favourite time of the year!

A traditional Bavarian Wheat Bier with a thirst

quenching burst of banana. This beer has hints of

vanilla and a subtle taste of aromatic hops coming

through at the end

A classic Dusseldorf style Alt Bier, brewed with a blend of darker malts, which in turn contribute to the copper colour. Combined with Ale yeast, this

beer has rich fruit flavours and an assertively hoppy, dry taste

An old friend of Bavaria. A smooth, rich and complex beer without being

heady or heavy. Malty notes of breads, nuts and perhaps chocolate

Elmar’s version of a Dunkel Bock. A lightly roasted, strong and malty ale. Gold to copper in colour. Malty

flavour derived from the use of Munich malt, decoction mashing

profile and a long boil

This tasty ale is fermented at a cooler temperature which results in a less
