The Contents page in this xxl issue has a colour scheme of dark colours apart from the where some small parts used red, such as the dash in the masthead and the title for Cover Story. Furthermore, this connotes the importance of the title as the red colour shows that it is the main part of the contents page as its the cover story as its highlighted in red. Also masthead also uses a different font than from the XXL logo, showing its more modern and different as a generic font scheme would not appeal to the audience as teenagers and young adults like modern things and trendy

styles.

As Dr.Dre is the main image of this magazine this connotes he is the most important in this issue.

The little quote gives a tease of what's to come inside the magazine.

Double page spread features denotation of famous rapper Dr Dre. What he's wearing is a black jacket with a serious face. This is connoting that he is a serious guy. A guy to take serious.

Also the lighting in the double page spread I notice that the chest is largely dark with no light on that part. This could show he's got no personality and that is he is a cold guy.
