For months the werewolves were silent. They layed low and continued to dress like ordinarypeople. Every now and then, there would be another victim. Always at random and with no linkbetween the victims. Some days, there would be two murders in a row. Sometimes it wasmonths before they would find another body. The Royals didnt like this. Innocent people werebeing killed and this was all because of some crazy guy, who is taking revenge on his sistersdeath. It was turning out to be a war, no one wanted to be in.

Harry was healed. He no longer had to sit at home when there was a battle going on. He wasback in the playing field. He was walking pass the front door when the door bell rang.

I got it Nathaniel he called and opened the door. The post m an was on the other sideJonah! Good morning said Harry.

Good morning Prince Harry said Jonah. He was a tall man and very lanky. He had no

hand-eye coordination but was very quick on his feet. He had curly ginger hair and his face wascovered in frec kles. He handed Harry a bunch of letters There seems to be a couple ofletters for all of you he said.

Thank you Anytime. Goodbye Bye and Harry closed the door and headed for the Basement.

The Silenced were meditating on the training floor. Their eyes were closed and they werebreathing deeply. Harry glanced at Alix. He was amazed by her beauty. He sighed and turnedto his family. They were all playing pool, except for Emily. She was sitting off to the side andreading a book. She looked up at him and smiled.

Post is here he said. He looked through the pile of letters and grabbed two out that wereaddressed to Emily. She took them and began to look at who they were from. Ted had one andso did Paul. The last two -beside his- belonged to Steve. The pool game stopped as everyonewas opening their letters.

All of them had a purple envelope. It only had their name on it and no sender. Emily was the

first to open hers. Her face grew pale. She unfolded the letter. The words, were written inblood.Emily,

Patrick Emily looked up. Her brothers were looking at her.

What? she said defensively. Her brothers shrugged. The letters just said that you will have gone pale said Luke And you have. What is it? Patrick. Hes back

They were all crammed into Steves four -wheeled drive. He drove through the street all theway to the Six Pence Hotel. Emily was the first one out. She hurried to the reception desk. Aguy was sitting at it this time.

Can I help you princess? he asked.

Err Yeah. Is there anyone in room two -eleven? she asked. The man looked through thecheck-in book. His finger tapped on two-eleven.

Yes. Patrick Mainstream. He booked the room a week ago and arrived yesterday afternoonOkay. Thank you she said and she ran for the elevator. Steve was holding it open. He

pressed the number ten button and took out his gun. The others did the same.

Emily led the way to the room. Two-eleven was the door right at the end of the green hallway.The last time they were here, they were here to see a dead body. Now, they were to kill

someone. Her heart was beating quickly. They reached the door. Emily twisted the handle. Itwas locked. She took a step back and kicked the door down. She walked in. Gun raised.

She looked around. No one was in here. The bed had never been slept in. By the smell of the air,they are the only ones who have entered this room in the last twenty-four hours. Steve tappedEmily on the shoulder. She looked up at him. He pointed to the dining table. A bouquet of blackand red roses. She walked over to them and picked them up. She took the note out and read italoud.

Emily sighed angrily and walked over to the bin and threw the roses away. She ripped the notein half and threw it in also.

Patrick is really starting to annoy me she said Trust us little sis said Ted He is annoying everyone I just want him dead so we can all move on. I didnt know I killed his sister

People were crowding at the corners. Ted and Paul were kneeling down beside a struggling body.Emily and Steve hurried over to them. It was one of their guards, it was Jared. His white shirtwas soaked with dark red blood. Sweat was pouring off of his body. He was screaming in pain.His brown hair clung to his face.

He was shot three times said Ted How could the bullets be affecting him like this? Hisskin should have made it rebound Emily sat on top of Jared. She could see the three bulletwounds. Two in his chest and one in his gut.

Keep him still she said and began to stick her fingers in the bullet holes. Jared roared inpain. Steve, Ted and Paul held down his arms and legs. Luke and Harry appeared and began tohelp. Emily pulled out the first bullet. Her fingers were covered in blood. She held the bullet inbetween her long fingers. She wiped the blood off. It shone in the sunlight.

Its just a normal bullet she said And it pierced our skin. How?

If it can pierce our skin then it was made in a monastery or someplace holy said Luke. Emilycontinued to take out the bullets.

Who shot the gun? asked Steve. I dont know said Paul We were standing out here. Jared came up to us, then someone

started shooting. Hit Jared three times Emily threw down the bullets. They scattered on thefloor. She moved next to Paul, who was standing up. He grabbed the bullets and looked at them.Emily knelt down next to Jared.

Jared? Jared can you hear me? she asked. Jared was rolling around in pain. His eyes wereclosed. He was gasping for air. Emily sat on top of him again. She leant in closer. Both of herhands were the sides of his face Jared! Goddamn it open your eyes! slowly they opened. Emilystroked his face. He grabbed her wrists.

Pl-please d-dont leave m-me he gasped. Emily looked down at him. She shook her head.Hold on. Okay? she said Well help you get better she looked up at her brothers Help me

get him back to his room Te d and Paul nodded and once Emily was off, they picked him up anheaded to the back of the house. Emily followed. Steve and Luke looked at the bloody messthat was on the ground.

I think our big problem, just got a whole lot bigger said Luke. I have to agree with you there, brother said Steve and he beckoned Luke to follow him tothe back of the house.

Jared lay on his bed. His fever was really bad and you could see the blood seeping through thebandages. Emily watched him as he slept. He was struggling to breathe. His tanned skin was

covered in blood and sweat. She held his hand tightly. Steve knocked on the door lightly. Heknelt beside the bed.

Hows he doing? he asked. I think he will be alright replied Emily The doctor is on his way Are you able to leave him? No. Whatever is going on, I do not want to be in it. Not now When hes better? Yes. When I know that he wont die in the middle of the night Steve nodded. Okay. I will come in when I can and he left.

In the Basement, the silver bullets were being passed around a circle. The guards had alsojoined them.

Now they are getting really smart said one of the guards. His name was Oliver How are wesuppose to defend ourselves when we go up against them again? Dont get hit said Paul It isnt that hard Oh yeah? Tell that to Jared snapped Oliver. Paul hissed at him Sorry master Steve

sighed.Is there some kind of body armor we could use? he asked Harry. Err I could make one, but I dont know how quick I will be though Work on it. If it isnt done right this minute, then who cares. We will use it in the future

Harry nodded and he got onto his computer. Alix walked over and helped him.

Luke held all three bullets. He stared aimlessly at the floor.Wheres Emily? he asked. She isnt going to leave Jareds side anytime soon replied Steve. She doesnt even know him and yet they seem I know, but Jared is a good warrior. If she stayed at the ball we had a while back, they

wouldhave danced Seriously? asked Ted I thought only high level societies were granted the chance to be

able to be able to dance with her He is of royal birth. He joined the guard because he didnt want any of it said Steve If I

Emily fell asleep. She still held Jareds hand. The doctor had said that he will be alright. Thebullets had missed his lungs and heart and any other vital organ. Emily was relieved. Jaredsgrip on her hand tightened. Emily woke and looked up. Jareds eyes were open and he waslooking down at her. The morning sun shone through the window and fell upon Emily. To Jared,Emily was glowing. Glowing like an angel.

You didnt leave he whispered and returned a smile. Of course not. I couldnt she said How are you feeling? Sore Thirsty? Yes Emily stood up and walked over to the table. She grabbed the jug that held a vampires

favourite red liquid and poured it into a cup. She put in a straw then walked back to the bed.She sat next to Jared and lowered the straw into his mouth. Jared began to drink. He finished

the cup in three big gulps.Better? Much he winced. You better go back to sleep Youre glowing Huh? The sun. Its making you glow. Like an angel Then I am your guardian angel whispered Emily. Jared smiled and closed his eyes. Emily

stroked his face. The warm touch of Emilys fingers eased his pain. He no longer felt it. Onlyher warm, heavenly touch.

Harry and Alix were in front of the computer the whole night. It was now morning. Theymanaged to design the armor. Though it had one glitch; it will give you one nasty bruise if abullet was to hit it. They sighed and leaned back in their chairs. Alixs eyes had dimmed to a skyblue. Harry smiled at her.

Now, all we need to do is make the damn thing he said How long will that take?

I do not know. Our local blacksmith was killed months ago I might be able to ask Michael Michael? The mute? He isnt mute. He just doesnt like to use his voice. He does speak Is he good at blacksmith work? Very and she walked off to get Michael.

Harry opened the door to the forge. Michael walked passed him and stood in the middle of theroom. He was kind of short, slim and muscular. He had long black hair that was platted with ared ribbon. He took off his coat and threw it onto a chair.

Are you sure we are meant to be in here? asked Alix. Yes. Relax Alix replied Harry. Michael walked over to the forge and lit the fire. Lets get to work said Michael. Harry jumped. He wasnt expecting Michael to talk. He

looked at him, completely stunned. Alix smiled and began to laugh. Harry looked at her,blushing.

Steve and Ted were standing out the front of their house. The watched as a cleaning crewwere working on the path. They were trying to get Jareds blood off the sidewalk, but, nothing

worked. Not bleach, or even soapy water. Ted sighed and smiled at them.Humans he muttered Should I go and tell them that holy water might work? Stevelaughed at his brother.

Yeah that will put them out of their misery Ted smiled. In his hands was a basketball, hebounced it as he walked over to them. Steve continued to chuckle as he walked back inside.

Luke knocked on the door. He opened it. Emily looked up at him and smiled. She continued todab cold water onto Jareds head. Luke pulled up a chair and sat next to her.

How is he? he asked. His fever has come back, but it is going slowly she replied. She sighed and looked at her

brother Youre missing me, arent you? Luke smiled and looked down at the tiled floor. A little bit. It sounds selfish No. It doesnt said Emily Kind of flattering actually It is hard enough for me to share you with our brothers, than another man he admitted

Come in called Steve. Harry opened the door and walked in. Steve was drying his hair. Hehad blue jeans and no shirt.

If I knew you were half naked, I would have waited said Harry. Steve rolled his eyes andsmiled

I have the prototype for the armor Lets see it said Steve. Harry put the box on Steves desk then lifted the lid. Inside was-what looked like- a silver shirt.

Harry handed it to Steve, who examined it.Michael is a really good blacksmith said Harry He made solid silver feel like well, it looks

like a silver shirt Yes. He is very good. Does it protect us? We have tested it said Harry But? The metal reflects the silver bullets. When the bullet hits the metal it leaves no dent on

the armor explained Harry You on the other hand and he lifted his s hirt. A big, black anblue bruise was seen on his abs Get left with a massive and painful bruise

Ouch. Is there a way to prevent that? asked Steve as he leaned in for a closer look. Not at the moment. If we make it any thicker, you wouldnt be ab le to move freely. I woul

Jared was now sitting up, though he was still restricted with his movement. Steve knocked onthe door and walked in. Emily looked up and smiled at him. She was changing one of thebandages.

Good morning sir said Jared. Yes. Good morning said Emily Harry has designed an armor that can protect us from the silver bullets said Steve

That is great news said Jared There is one down side, though said Steve What? asked Emily. You get left with one nasty bruise. I saw Harrys and it looks terrible Ouch muttered Emily and she threw the used bandage in the bin Is there a way to prevent

The silver has pretty much been turned into an indest ructible material Something I gotta see said Emily. Steve unbuttoned his shirt Whoa! This isnt a strip

Luke was lying on the roof. He stared at the night sky. He could see the faint shapes of theclouds as they flew overhead. He blinked. They walked into the forge. Michael was trying to extinguish the fire and Alix and Harry wereputting at least twenty silver shirts in a box. Harry looked up.

Hey guys he said. Alix turned around and greeted them with a warm smile. She took Harrysoutstretched hand and walked over with him. Emily and Luke shared a quick smile. Steve lookedaway uncomfortably.

Steve and Harry watched them go. Stunned and worried.

armor coming along? We are finished said Alix There is over twenty -five, so maybe enough for the house

sighed.It will make us deteriorate, until we are nothing but a pile of ash said Michael. Steve

jumped at the sound of Michaels voice. Michael was holding the box full of the armor Webetter get these handed out to your guards, family an d staff and he left the forge. Harry andAlix went. They walked hand-in-hand. Steve sighed and walked out. Locking the door behindhim.

Luke and Emily were sitting across from each other. Their legs crossed and hands touching.Their eyes were closed. They released their minds. When they opened their eyes, a blackshade appeared. Soon, they were flying through the streets. Their minds took them throughthe doors that were in the town, even down to the sewers. Their eyes faded back to normal.The sighed and breathed deeply. Both were tired. Both were disappointed. Patrick, wasnowhere to be found.

Ted and Paul walked into Lukes room and found him and Emily asleep on the couch. They smiled.

They were either hanging from the roof or werestuffed into the sorting machines. Blood covered the floor and splattered the walls. Blackroses also made their appearance.

Wow breathed Emily They really arent holding back are they. These murders are brutal.If they arent stopped, then the entire town will be killed off the police officer cleared histhroat. They all looked at him.

Youre new said Steve Y-yes sir. Only a c- couple of days, sir stuttered the officer There is something else for

y- you to see and he led them into the office W -we didnt know what to do with all of this anhe opened the door. The Royals looked in.

Emily gasped. In the room, two large werewolves lay on the floor dead. Harry walked forward.He looked at the wolves.

They have been dead for hours he said. Then why arent they in their human forms? asked Ted I dont knowreplied Harry.

She twisted the handle. It was locked. Emily knocked on the door and heard things crashing tothe floor.

Jared! Open up something banged on the door. She heard him unlock the door. The dooropened. Jared was on his knees. He was covered in sweat and his wounds had reopened. Emilyknelt down beside him.

It hurts he grunted through his teeth. I know. Itll be okay Emily whispered Cmon, lets get you back in bed Jared forced

himself to stand up. He looked so pale and sick. Emily finally got him back into his bed. Jaredwas gasping for air and groaning in pain. Emily wet a cloth in water and began wiping his face.She began to hum a lullaby and watched as he fell to sleep. His hand held hers tightly.

Emily put the table back onto its feet and picked up the pieces of a broken vase. She put themin the bin than picked up the flowers. She held them in between her fingers.

Red roses she whispered. Means love muttered Jared. He tried to sit up. Emily rushed over and held his shoulder.It would be best if you lie down. I just changed your bandages Jared slumped back into his

pillow.Not a fan of roses then he whispered. I love them! Its just, black roses annoy me

Steve walked through the house. He didnt know what he was doing, he was just a bit lost. Hewalked into his room. Alix was sitting on his bed. She looked up at him.

Err can I help you? he asked and closed the door. I dont know. I would go to Emily with this, but she is busy with Jared If this is about you and Harry, you should definitely go to Emily

It was about us then I got a phone call Err I am confused Its Selene and Salvador Why? What did they do? They have gone. They were the ones who killed the humans and the wolves. They have

changed sides said Alix. Steve stared at her in complete horror. Selene and Salvador had livedfor centuries. They were the most lethal predators Steve had ever seen. They were only loyalto their father, Sebastian. He knew that they would never follow his orders.

That is a big problem he muttered Err oh no That is what I thought. They want me and Michael to join them What did you say? I said no. She got angry. I dont know why. I thought we were meant to stay loyal to all of

the royal family. I told her that I was staying loyal Good, good. Err is that - that all? Alix stood up and walked to Steve. She pushed him upagainst the door. She pressed her lips onto his. She smiled, then left. Steve stood therecompletely stunned Oh no

Ted and Paul were driving through the streets. They were seeing if anything was out of theordinary or if someone was completely freaking out over dead bodies. So far nothing. Thestopped outside of the vampire tavern. It was called Nightshade. The most famous placewhere vampires go to get drunk. Drunk on off blood. Ted and Paul found it disgusting. Paul waslooking through the windows and looking at the faces of the people who walked by. Ted wasasleep. Pauls eyes landed on a large figure that had walked passed them. The figure stopped atthe corner and looked at them. It was a man. Muscular and dark skinned. He smiled at them andpulled out a gun. Paul grabbed Teds arm and shook him.

Ted! cried Paul. Ted woke and glared at his brother. The gun was shot twice. The bulletscrashed through the windscreen, shattering it.

They hit Paul square in the chest. Teds eyes were wide with shock and his mouth open. The

bullets rebounded off of Pauls chest. The shooters mouth looked stunned and shot again. Tedgrabbed his gun and shot back. The man fell to the ground. Blood pooled around him. People ranaway screaming. Ted got out of the car and ran over. Paul staggered behind. Teds bullet gotthe man in the head. Ted looked up at Paul.

You okay? he asked. Paul nodded and took off the red shirt he was wearing. He revealedthe silver armor. Ted laughed Wow! It actually works Paul lifted the arm or to show Ted his

chest. It was covered in bruises. Paul winced in pain.Yeah, dude. It so works gasped Paul. He looked down at his shirt. The bullets had ripped

holes through it. Paul sighed and walked slowly back to the car. He pulled out his phone andcalled Steve.They were all in the Basement. Emily was there and was looking at the bruises on her brotherschest.

Well at least you arent dead she said. Yeah. Good thing Michael gave it to us before we left, otherwise a lot more damage would

have been done said Paul These bruises are going to give me hell They wont last forever said Harry They will heal. I am sorry about the bruises though,

but if the armor was any thicker, you might as well be put into a medieval museum. You wouldnbe able to move

People screamed and fell to the floor covering their heads. The vampires formed a large circlearound the werewolves and were shooting at them. They closed in the circle. Werewolves fellto the ground. Some of the people were sprayed with their blood. The shooting stops. Theguards turn around. They face outwards, towards the mouths of the streets; their guns areready and waiting for more wolves to come charging out to meet them. The royals ran forwardtowards the towns people. They asked if they were oka y, if they were hurt. They even huggedthose who needed it. They stood in a group and watched as people returned to their homes.Emily looked around at the dead faces that lay on the ground. Tears began to fall. Luke walkedup behind her and put both hands on her shoulders.

All these innocent people they never stood a chance she whispered. I know. We can do nothing to help them. We have saved some of the new generation Yeah. I know she said and turned to face him. She sighed and took his hand. They walke

back to the others.

Silence. They all sat in the study. No one said a word. Emily was wrapped in Jareds arms. Theyboth stared at the fire. The silence could drive anyone crazy, but not this group. Months passed and the werewolves seemed to just disappear completely. There were no moredeaths and life continued on. People began to arm themselves -just in case- with guns. No onewas going to take any chances. The people then set to work in repairing the community. A happyenvironment began to grow throughout the houses. The inspection came and Steve nearly lostit due to nerves. Having someone follow you around twenty-four-seven was nerve-racking. Ittook a couple of months for his results to comeback.
