Your thoughts, words, and deeds have touched my heart, been a source of comfort, and have shown me just how very much my Ashland Church family means to me. May God richly bless each of you ~Sherrie Franks Thanks so much to all my Ashland family for the cards, food, visits, phone calls and prayers while I was out. I felt your presence every day. Missions
Ashland’s week for Family Promise is April 15-22, 2018.
Children and Youth Ministry “It Takes a Village…
to Raise our Children”
***FORTY Ashland members plus a few guests enjoyed a
baby shower for Ashland’s newest member, Victoria
Leysath who is still in NICU. Victoria’s family, Melanie,
Claude and brothers Caden and Ethan joined Ashland at the
Path in 2017. Baby sock bouquets on pink tables with
colored cupcakes, dips, fruit, chips… helped make the day
special. Faithwalkers class members with their children
hosted this special time. With tears in her eyes, Mom
Melanie said, “This church is our family.”
***TWO Ashland families with their children poured and
handed out hot chocolate at the SC Methodist Youth event
at the Township recently.
***SEVEN (4-7 year olds) heard the story of the Boy who
shared his lunch in Sunday School. Linda D sewed fish
pillows for the children to complete and made fish cookies
for them to decorate.
***FOUR 2nd and 3rd graders found 12 baskets in Bibleland
which they filled with food to imagine the food leftover
from feeding the 5,000.
***FOURTH and FIFTH grade Sunday Schoolers help bag
the items for the Snack Packs for 7 Oaks Elementary
School each month
***OUR YOUTH Sunday School class ate Bojangle’s Biscuits
and grew spiritually studying the faith stories in the book
of Daniel.
