Internship offer – March 2017 Ashoka – 28, place de la bourse, 75002 PARIS – www.ashoka.Org Ashoka Internship Ashoka Present in nearly 85 countries, Ashoka is a non-profit organisation whose goal, for the last 30 years, has been to contribute to the development and efficiency of the social entrepreneurship sector. Its core work consists of supporting the development of innovative social entrepreneurs, enabling these "pioneers" to participate in the expansion of the sector and accelerate the delivery of social innovation in areas such as education, health, the fight against discrimination, sustainable development and human rights. They are selected through a rigorous process and given financial and professional support to help them increase their social impact. More than 3,300 innovative social entrepreneurs are now part of the worldwide Ashoka network. Proposed missions Support Ashoka Greece Development In 2014, Ashoka launched its activities in Greece with the aim to actively harness the power of local civil society initiatives in addressing some of the biggest challenges of our times and the vision of a vibrant and enabling ecosystem for social entrepreneurs to thrive. The intern will support the fundraising activities for Ashoka in Greece from France, through 2 missions: - Creating a strong Ashoka Support Network (business entrepreneurs) in Greece and outside Greece (diaspora). The Ashoka Support Network (ASN) is a global community of successful leaders in their own fields who share Ashoka’s understanding that entrepreneurs are the primary engine for economic and social development. This network is a key constituency of Ashoka globally (it has 400 members) who are providing funding each year & their professional expertise and network. The intern will support o The prospection of new ASN members coming for the Greek diaspora in France / Switzerland & UK through the organization of events and follow-up with each ASN o Marketing materials production to promote the Ashoka Support Network and Ashoka in Greece o Coordination with the local team in Greece to connect ASN from the diasporas with local actions
