WELCOME TO SINGAPOREThe Asia Paci�c Federation for Non-Destructive Testing (APFNDT) was established in Mumbai in India in November 2013 to meet the demands from the providers and users of NDT in the Asia Paci�c Region in promoting the application of NDT and for encouraging research and development in NDT techniques. The main activities of APFNDT covered among others education, quali�cation and certi�cation, training, standardization, etc., for the whole spectrum of industry. As President of APFNDT, I would like to work closely with all members and societies not only in Asia Paci�c region but also in other regions. On behalf of the Non Destructive Testing Society Singapore (NDTSS), I sincerely welcome all of you to the 15th APCNDT 2017. This is a remarkable event for NDTSS which is celebrating it’s 20th year since it’s formation in 1997. As a full member of ICNDT & APFNDT, NDTSS welcomes all delegates from the international community & members of sister NDT organizations to this event We look forward to speakers from around the world to share, contribute and enrich the technical, scienti�c and cultural knowledge at this conference. We also welcome NDT equipment manufacturers/suppliers from around the globe to show case their inventions and innovations to a wide range of customers who will be gathering at this event.

With an active economy and a strong focus on scienti�c research in the �eld of aviation, oil & gas, marine & o�shore, we assure you of the rich papers contributed from around the region. The Asia Paci�c Conference has been, is and will always be an important platform for us NDT practitioners, researchers and academians to seek ways and means to continue develop, enhance and collaborate for the future progress of NDT as we strive to push the technological frontiers further. It is therefore crucial that this tradition be continued in a manner that will bring greater recognition and high stature for all NDT professionals.
