I graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology, and now am enjoying my

time in HKUST... The way that the instructors teach here is different from that in Mainland. They will be

more focused on developing our problem-solving skill and give us many chances to show our abilities. In addition, I have to thank the MSc program for giving me the chance to join the Asia Pacic Rail 2014 Exhibition. I designed a poster about my project, and had to introduce the project details to the exhibition's visitors. This

experience was so valuable for me because it makes me more condent to talk in public and

gives me a deeper understanding of Mechanical Engineering.

The MSc Aeronautical Engineering Program at UST, which is in partnership

with ENAC, Toulouse has proved to be a very dynamic learning experience. Being an alumni of

the rst batch of the AE program, I have to state that the vividness and mixture of courses offered from HKUST and

ENAC has helped me fathom complex aerodynamic characteristics to global aviation business in the most meticulous and simplistic ways possible. Further, the

professors from both universities have excellent understanding and associated experiences, which has catalysed and made the learning process highly intriguing. I must say, a few professors have brought me to the stage of absolute awe of the taught courses,

thus kindling my spirit to becoming a full-edged researcher in the eld of propulsion. Speaking of the professors, the methodology with which they disseminate knowledge and

share their motivation has inculcated the right set of skills and perspectives on how to view the aviation science critically and becoming more inquisitive. Finally taking up the

MSc independent project has been able to give me a feel of what research feels like and has led me to publish my own research paper. To conclude I would say,

HKUST has not only given me the best possible knowledge, but more importantly has successfully been able to inculcate the right attitude

towards taking up engineering as a career.

Neeraj SHARMA (AE graduate, India, 2017)

The most important thing is that IBTM program not only provides

professional engineering courses, but also expands our scope in management and

nance. It helps me secure an internship in an international building services consulting company before graduation. For students interested in doing research, especially about sustainable technology, Ford-HKUST grants provide good support and a good platform to work on cutting edge studies... I got a chance to show my project

in the Asia Pacic Rail Exhibition in 2014, which trained me how to promote my idea in one minute.

WANG Xiao Sean (IBTM graduate, China, 2014)
