Weekly mini-oral presentations every Thursday (weeks 1, 2, 3) ~Related to the week’s theme ~ 4-6 minute mini-presentations followed by 3-5 minutes of discussion. A 2-page essay summarizing the information presented and discussed during your Q & A must be submitted the following day. Weekly tests every Friday All tests will include the following sections: listening, reading, writing, & grammar/vocab. Final written exam and OPI (oral proficiency interview), 7/9 There will be a two-hour comprehensive exam and a 20-minute oral interview on Thursday, July 9 h . Writing portfolio Friday, 7/10 ~must include six original and revised versions of writing assignments and a 1- page introduction. 1-2 writing assignments from each week. You may also include other interesting homework and in- class writing assignments. You are free to organize your portfolios in any manner that you like. Be creative!     GUIDELINES FOR WRITING ASSIGNMENTS & HOMEWORK EXERCISES:

    Unless otherwise directed, all writing assignments & homework exercises (worksheet, etc.) should be done as a Google Doc (not Word, not PDF) and follow the following requirements: ~ FORMAT: Typed, Times Roman, size 12 pt. font, DOUBLE-spaced, 1” margins on all sides; left aligned or justified INCLUDE: on the first page of your document, in the upper right hand corner, your name, class/section, date and the title of the assignment. ~ REVIEW: Read aloud! Edit and proofread your document. ~ SUBMISSION: Submit as a Google Doc (not Word, not PDF). More detailed instructions for each assignment will be posted online or explained during class.
