After the kick of last year, I-line campaign (world class product, global pricing) turned out to be better than expected in particular the Asia Pacific region. The last 3 month of 2012 showed a big boom of orders, in particular for stage Dex’s brand. I-line partners in New Zealand (Metro Production) Indonesia (Rajawali) Japan (PDJ) and Malaysian and Singapore obtained orders for over 1000 units! Rajawali, I-line partner and Prolyft SP for Indonesia supplied to Jakarta based Truss Indo, which is one of the countries leading companies over 250 units of Dex’s with telescopic legs and a variety of accompanying accessories. The Dex’s were tailor made with basic-line frame and top-line plywood. The combination of an fully engineered quality product, local stock and service and I-line price tag made the choice for the customer real easy stated Mr. Jade Bunny, owner and MD of Rajawali Productions.

In Malaysia Prolyte Asia Pacific supplied a number of customers with Dex’s in all sorts of variety. The SIB church which has 2 locations in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya ordered for various functions the top-line Dex’s with telescopic legs. As Mr. Jason Chiak stated, the light weight Dex’s in combination with the 3 different lengths of telescopic legs make it for us very easy to quickly provide staging at any position in either one of our churches and with the knowledge that there are many more users and rental companies using the same products make’s it easy to get more if we need more than we at our own stock.

Also well know TV station and broadcast studio Astro Production’s Sdn Bhd did purchase for their TV studio’s and road tours a large number of black basic-line Dex. Beside the regular 2x1m version they also ordered the shaped Dex’s, stairs, ramps, skirts, dolly’s and telescopic and fixed legs. Directly after we took delivery of the containers they started using a Dex’s almost immediately for programs in the studio and around 80 unit went on tour through Malaysia for the “Maharaja Lawak”. As Mr. Rosli (Operational Head of Stage & Warehouse) of Astro commented.

After a through survey based on flexibility, specifications, service and availability we short listed the Prolyte Stage Dex’s. Following we visited the showroom had a hands on experience and detailed explanation about the possibilities the system has to offer.

Due to the size of the Astro organization we decided to organize together with Prolyte staff a complete presentation at Astro studio in KL which enabled all the responsible people to see and feel for themselves how easy the system can be

set up and sturdiness once the stage is assembled. The team unanimous in favor of the Dex’s system and knowing that Prolyte Asia is almost “around the corner” which will ensure good and fast service made the choice easy.

StageDex is based on a special extruded aluminium profile. The top board is bolted and glued to the frame to reduce noise and vibration. All decks are available in metric and imperial sizes.

Top line frame consist of internal re inforcement of corner, standard spigot entry on the topside of the deck to attach Easy Rail system, birch plywood with special water resistant quality.

Basic line frame consist of birch plywood, unfinished, clear varnish and black coating for indoor use only.

Dex’s - Frame, Special Topping & Staging Models

Special Topping

Staging Models

The System’s flexibility let your imagination to create individual staging constructions. StageDex can be transformed quickly and easily often without the need for tools. StageDex comes in variety of standard sizes and shapes, so every imaginable stage can be constructed.

Circular Stages

The Prolyte Group is able to fabricate circular stages that are actually based on curved segments. Each section or segment hand build by our craftsman, therefore small differences in size and shape may occur.

TELESCOPIC LEGS

HOW DOES IT WORK?

• Release the two M10 hexagon socket head screws or crank handles.

• Extend the leg to its required length.

• Lock the leg at both positions to guarantee optimal grip of the telescopic mechanism

• Measurements on the inside of the profile indicate the total length of the leg and safe operating areas.

• Rubber leg caps prevent damage to your flooring system.

STEP 1

Place the leg with 4-way joint (SM-F-B-L…) where wanted. The leg is available in lengths of 1000mm, 1500mm and 2000mm.

STEP 2

Connect the frame rack (SM-F-B-R…) to the leg and fix with the L-pin. The ladder frames connect to the 4-way joint by means of a pen/fork connection which is closed on the top side (the fork “rests” on the pen.) After positioning the parts can stand free without topping over. This makes the assembly of the locking pin easy.

STEP 3

Place the deck to frame adapter (SM-F-B-ADAP-01) on the leg fittings of your deck. Place the decks on top of the assembled frames. Level the stage by means of the spindle feet in the legs.

EasyRail

Handrails and other accessories from the EasyRail range can easily be attached to the decks by inserting a spigot in a pre-bolted hole on each corner of the decks. This makes it possible to a assemble the rails after the decks are built, as they are fully independent of the sides or the underlying constructions of the stage.

Dex’s - EasyRail

For the basic line deck, StageDex has developed special adapters for the spigots which slide into the side profiles of the decks. The EasyRail comes in two different versions, both in compliance with the applicable standard (DIN 4112 and DIN 15920-11).

Currently there are no strict definitions for a stage as used in the entertainment market. A stage or floor as discussed here is essentially a temporary raised platform to accommodate of any kind at public or private events.

DEFINATION

Stages, stage floors, raised floors and raised seating areas are used in the event, hotel and exhibition market, a board business sector that encompasses (but is not restricted to) all activities for leisure and sports, arts and cultural performances, amusement or the presentation of products.

APPLICATION

Calculated with 1/10 of the vertical load transferred into a horizontal load (conform DIN4112 / EN13814)

The pointed should be applied to a minimum area of 50x50mm. Point load to be placed as indicated on drawing point load total allowed.

• Check to ensure the stage floor is properly aligned and completely level.

• Check the application conditions of your stage, as the type of use is directly related to safety issues like handrails.

• Brace your staging to safety issues like handrails.

• Make sure all stage elements are interconnected.

• Take notice of local regulations for stages and allowed purposes.

• Store StageDex upside down to decrease setup time.

• Maintain your StageDex at regular intervals.

• Inform your crew beforehand on safety procedures (like evacuation procedures) in case of emergency situations.

• Use materials in poor condition, the payload might be reduced substantially.

• Apply loads before knowing their exact weight and size.

• Exceed the maximum allowable load.

• Use unfinished StageDex top board in outside conditions.

• Exceed the maximum building height of the stage or its support frame.

• Use the hang-on profile without reducing the maximum allowable payload.

• Build your stage on unstable ground.

• Use StageDex elements as ballast for your roof without using the proper support frame.
