The class has been visiting the Computer Lab to practice reading and our comprehension on a program called Raz

Kids. Attached you will find the information and your child’s username/

information to log in at home!

Math * The activities from my Math Workbook (pages have

been torn out so you can see!) * Subtraction- what is it ? * Playing the Subtraction Bingo game- the game is

included in the Math Notebook so that you can share and play at home!

* Sums of 10 and all the activities we have done in practicing it ( 10 Apples, Give Me 10, the Make Ten

game) * Solving the problem of red and green apples- there is

a total of 10 apples, some are red and some are green. What are the possible combinations?!

* Playing the game High Roller today and the Addition Memory Game

Phonics and Writing * Building words that have the long vowel

sound using the cvcE spelling Some examples might be: cape, rope,

slide

* Using letters tiles to turn one long vowel word into a new long vowel word Some example might be: turn make into bake

or five into dive

* Creating word ladders using these long vowel words

* Thinking and brainstorming using a graphic organizer to write my own Litte Red Hen story: Who are my characters? where does the story take place? Do the

animals help?

* Griffin’s Star of the Week- what have we learning about him? What is his favorite sports team and how did that connect to

his book and favorite toy share? :)
