Business prioritiesWhat are companies’ business priorities for 2016?
Existing businesses and gaining efficiencies are the dominant focusareas. Key Insights include the following:• Heavy focus on growing existing businesses: About 90% say a top
priority is increasing revenue/share in current markets. All cite gettingmore efficient, and 70% cite getting more focused.
• Strong focus on getting more efficient: Just under 75% say a toppriority is to reduce direct/indirect costs. Among those who do not ratethis a top priority, all cite growing existing businesses, 63% citegenerating new business.
• Risk focus : One-quarter of CFOs say a top priority is managing internaland external risks.
• Little focus on raising prices: Just 9% say charging more is a toppriority. Manufacturing, Energy/Resources, and Retail/Wholesale arehighest at 19%, 17%, and 13%, respectively. All others sit at 0%.
