About AJHWe’re excited to be rolling into our 50th Anniversary; founded by John McBride in 1972, Aspen Junior Hockey (AJH) is an affiliate member of the Colorado Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA) branch of the Rocky Mountain District and USA Hockey. Known as the Aspen Leafs, AJH is a highly structured 501 (c) non-profit organization that serves nearly 300 plus youth hockey players in the Roaring Fork Valley. AJH provides developmental, competitive, and recreational opportunities for girls and boys starting at age four and continuing through high school. The Aspen Leafs currently compete in the Western Colorado Hockey League (WCHL), Colorado Girls Hockey League (CGHL), and the Colorado Tier-2 Girls Hockey League.AJH prides itself on offering affordable hockey programs for all ages through our generous donations and fundraising events. Such events allow AJH to give prospective players Scholarships consistently from our financial aid program. We’ll continue to keep our youth engaged while growing our young athletes in the sport of hockey while making it accessible to everyone. We look forward to providing AJH athletes the best quality programs in the Roaring Fork Valley.

See you on the ice!

THE DAILY AWARDS EXPLAINED

Sponsored by the John Daily Family, The Daily Family Sportsmanship Awards came into being 20 years ago, in March of 1995, shortly after Art Daily’s wife Kathy and sons Tanner and Shea were killed in an accident in Glenwood Canyon returning from a Mites game in Vail. They all loved hockey, and Art wanted to give something to our hockey program that we could remember them by. Tim Cottrell and Art came up with the idea of a Sportsmanship Award, and the Daily Awards are just that, they are Sportsmanship Awards.
