Managing Director, Garry Mills, said: “While its early days, the results highlight significant concentrations of gold in the Tailings Storage Facilities at good grades which may potentially lead to an economically viable, low cost retreatment operation that can generate cash flow as a supplement to primary feed once operations are recommissioned at Mt Bundy.

There are of course many steps to get to this decision, however, we are encouraged by these initial results. Our next steps are to carry out additional metallurgical testing to provide clarity around recoverable grade especially in relation to TSF1. Dependent on positive results, we will then work towards resource estimation.”

Tailings Storage Facilities and Tailings Characteristics

The surface areas of the tailings facilities are approximately 280m x 220m (TSF1) and 280m x 300m (TSF2). The depth, estimated by the costeans varies up to 3m.

The sampling program indicates grades for TSF1 is in the range of 0.05 – 3.85 g/t Au (average 2.18 g/t) and the grade for TSF2 is in the range of 0.28 – 1.17 g/t Au (average 0.72 g/t).

Tom’s Gully mine initially operated as an open pit mine from 1988 – 1991 and as an underground operation from 2005 – 2007. The two tailings storage facilities were built in the natural topographic lows near the mine and infilled by residue products from the local ore processing plant. Tailings materials are distributed as sub-horizontal layers across the dams forming stratiform structure of the gold mineralisation.

APPENDIX 2: JORC (2012) COMPLIANCE CHECK LIST

Reporting criteria presented in the Section 1 of the JORC Table 1 (Sampling techniques and data)

Criteria of JORC Code

2012

Explanation given in the JORC Code

2012

Details of the Reported Project

(1.1.) Sampling techniques

• Nature and quality of sampling (eg cut channels, random chips, or specific specialized industry standard measurement tools appropriate to the minerals under investigation, such as down hole gamma sondes, or handheld XRF instruments, etc). These examples should not be taken as limiting the broad meaning of sampling.

23 samples have been collected from the tailing dams of the Toms Gully mine.

The samples, approximately 3 kg each, were collected from the exploration costeans (small pits) dug into tailings using small excavator.

• Include reference to measures taken to ensure sample representivity and the appropriate calibration of any measurement tools or systems used.

Samples were collected from the different places around the tailings (Fig.) assuring their spatial distribution is representative for characterisation of the tailings.

• Aspects of the determination of mineralisation that are Material to the Public Report. In cases where ‘industry standard’ work has been done this would be relatively simple (eg ‘reverse circulation drilling was used to obtain 1 m samples from which 3 kg was pulverised to produce a 30 g charge for fire assay’). In other cases more explanation may be required, such as where there is coarse gold that has inherent sampling problems. Unusual commodities or mineralisation types (eg submarine nodules) may warrant disclosure of detailed information.

Samples were collected from the oxidised (upper o.5 m), and non-oxidised (below 0.5m depth) of the tailings.

A standard procedure, that commonly used for gold prospecting and colloquially referred as grab-sampling, was used for sampling the tailings

Each sample was approximately 3 kg and was delivered to ALS (Brisbane).

Drilling techniques (1.2.)

• Drill type (eg core, reverse circulation, open-hole hammer, rotary air blast, auger, Bangka, sonic, etc) and details (eg core diameter, triple or standard tube, depth of diamond tails, face-sampling bit or

Not applicable as drilling was not undertaken.

other type, whether core is oriented and if so, by what method, etc).

Drill sample recovery (1.3.)

• Method of recording and assessing core and chip sample recoveries and results assessed.

Not applicable as drilling was not undertaken.

• Measures taken to maximise sample recovery and ensure representative nature of the samples.

Not applicable as drilling was not undertaken.

• Whether a relationship exists between sample recovery and grade and whether sample bias may have occurred due to preferential loss/gain of fine/coarse material.

Not applicable as drilling was not undertaken.

Logging (1.4.)

• Whether core and chip samples have been geologically and geotechnically logged to a level of detail to support appropriate Mineral Resource estimation, mining studies and metallurgical studies.

Tailings material was classified by the degree of oxidation into oxide, and non-oxidised (sulphide) types. This was logged into the sampling spreadsheet, which also contains the depth of sampling. Level of details is sufficient for reporting the findings as Exploration results

• Whether logging is qualitative or quantitative in nature. Core (or costean, channel, etc) photography.

Logging was qualitative.

Prospecting pits (costeans) were photographed

• The total length and percentage of the relevant intersections logged.

100% of costeans were logged to the level of details sufficient for reporting Exploration Results

Sub-sampling techniques and sample preparation (1.5.)

• If core, whether cut or sawn and wether quarter, half or all core taken

Not applicable as no core taken.

• If non-core, whether riffled, tube sampled, rotary split, etc and whether sampled wet or dry.

3kg samples were collected from the costeans and sent to ALS laboratory for further processing.

No splitting /sub-sampling was made in the field.

• For all sample types, the nature, quality and appropriateness of the sample preparation technique.

Standard same preparation techniques developed by ALS laboratories were used for all samples

• Quality control procedures adopted for all sub-sampling stages to maximise representivity of samples.

Laboratory QAQC procedures include regular checks of the sieved material assuring that these are compliant with the sample preparation protocols

• Measures taken to ensure that the sampling is representative of the in situ material collected, including for instance results for field duplicate/second-half sampling.

Twin verification samples at a distance of approximately 3m from the TGTSF106 exploration pit were taken.

• Whether sample sizes are appropriate to the grain size of the material being sampled.

Tailings at the Toms Gully are filled with fine grained material, residue of the past milling and processing of the Toms Gully ore. 3kg sample is used for bed rock gold therefore this sample size is appropriate for sampling the tailings, which are characterised by a finer grained textures and more uniform spatial distribution of gold mineralisation.

Quality of assay data and laboratory tests (1.6.)

• The nature, quality and appropriateness of the assaying and laboratory procedures used and whether the technique is considered partial or total.

Gold was assayed by Fire Assay method with ICP-AES finish at the ALS laboratory. 30g aliquot was used

The laboratory code is Au-ICP21.

• For geophysical tools, spectrometers, handheld XRF instruments, etc, the parameters used in determining the analysis including instrument make and model, reading times, calibrations factors applied and their derivation, etc.

• Whether sample compositing has been applied.

Samples compositing was not used

Orientation of data in relation to geological structure (1.10.)

• Whether the orientation of sampling achieves unbiased sampling of possible structures and the extent to which this is known, considering the deposit type.

Distribution of the samples along the perimeter of the tailings gives a good understanding of the spatial variations of the tailings gold grade.

The grab samples are not representative for understanding the vertical gold profile of the tailings.

• If the relationship between the drilling orientation and the orientation of key mineralised structures is considered to have introduced a sampling bias, this should be assessed and reported if material.

Not applicable.

Sample security (1.11.)

• The measures taken to ensure sample security

Samples were delivered to laboratory immediately after they have been collected from the dams.

Unauthorised people did not have access to the samples.

Audits or reviews (1.12.)

• The results of any audits or reviews of sampling techniques and data.

The reported sampling results was an initial study of the gold mineralisation hosted in Toms Gully tailings.

The validation and review of these results will be made by collecting the additional samples twinning some of the reported here results.

Balanced reporting (2.8)

• Where comprehensive reporting of all Exploration Results is not practicable, representative reporting of both low and high grades and/or widths should be practiced to avoid misleading reporting of Exploration Results.

Results are reported as the point samples. Full range of the obtained results is presented in the tables in the Section 2.4 and on the histogram in the Section 2.5. The data was not used for estimation tonnages of mineralisation which are not reported.

Other substantive exploration data (2.9)

• Other exploration data, if meaningful and material, should be reported including (but not limited to): geological observations; geophysical survey results; geochemical

Metallurgical tests are currently underway and results will be reported in a different announcement after their completion.

survey results; bulk samples – size and method of treatment; metallurgical test results; bulk density, groundwater, geotechnical and rock characteristics; potential deleterious or contaminating substances.

Further work (2.10)

• The nature and scale of planned further work (eg tests for lateral extensions or depth extensions or large-scale step-out drilling).

Primary Gold has collected several samples for metallurgical testing of the tailings.

In the event gold recovery is positive the Resource definition drilling will be undertaken.

Future drilling will be made within the tailings boundaries using vertically drilled RAB holes that will be sampled at 0.5m intervals.

• Diagrams clearly highlighting the areas of possible extensions, including the main geological interpretations and future drilling areas, provided this information is not commercially sensitive.

Not applicable. Mineralisation is confined to the tailings dams and cannot be extended outside of tailings.
