Assemble GearBox Shell Face

Attach GearBox Mount Hinge Plates to Shell


1. Tilt left and right Mount Hinge Plates 45° and slide over corresponding Shell Foot Plates using slots.

2. Tilt Mount Hinge Plates back down to level (as shown at left) and attach Shell Toe Plates.



Assemble GearBox Mount using square-shank Carriage Bolts


Note orientation of fasteners!

Affix rubber pads to Mount using adhesive backing

Large pads on bottom, small pads on top.



Attach GearBox Assembly to Jeep JK

Wrangler Tailgate

1. Remove spare tire and set aside. Remove sparetire holder.

2. Position 8 holes in GearBox Mount over 8 spare tire holder mounting holes in

tailgate.

3. Put spare tire holder back in position, sandwiching the GearBox Mount between the tailgate and the spare tire holder. Reinstall 8 factory bolts.

4. Ensure 1/2 gap between bottom of GearBox Mount and top of bumper. Tighten 8 factory bolts.



Test fit GearBox Assembly, tighten

fasteners, and finish up 2. Mount spare tire onto spare tire holder. Congratulations, your installation is complete!

1. Tilt up GearBox Shell to confirm adequate clearance of 3rd brake light (1/8" to 1/4"). If all looks good, wrench-tighten all fasteners. If not, loosen spare tire holder factory bolts and adjust. Once adjusted, wrench-tighten all fasteners.
