The reversing drum switch is similar tothe manual start switch, but has theadded advantage of being able toreverse the motor. It is standardequipment on most HYTROL portablemodel conveyors, and is normallymounted near the conveyor drive. Thereversing drum switch is considered asa single point control, but may beextended through the use of a remotecontrol rod (optional item), allowing theoperator to control the conveyor fromeither end. NOTE: This switch does notprovide for motor overload protection.

The manual start switch is a simple “ON-OFF” switch that directlycontrols the motor power. It is suitable for a large number ofconveyor applications not requiring a reversible operation. Themanual start switch is a single point control and is normally mountedat or near the drive. NOTE: This switch does not provide: motoroverload protection.
