Robert DoisneauBio:• Born in 1922 in Gentilly, Paris• Grow up in a normal middle

class family• Learns engraving and

lithography at the Estienne School in Paris and starts designing labels for drug packaging

• Became a camera assistant at André Vigneau’s studio in 1931

Process, Equipment, Techniques

• From the example that I saw he worked as a hired photographer but mainly as a street photographer because most of his photos were mostly taken from of the streets• In most of his photos they looked like they were shot

with the camera in his hand because the angle they were taken at for example in Le mariage de Denise, Choisy-le-Roithe angle is off, but its possible that some were taken with a tripod for example in the photo Maline, gitane de Montreuil it’s a centered photo so a tripod could have been used.
